Can a swordsman (4-4-4-3) solo the lab or atleast get far enough into it to lootsome power cube or the schematic?

Oh yeah and can the same swordsman solo the scythe mission? (without killing the dragon)

Absolutely. When I was 1/3/3/4 I was soloing the Geo lab. Just be careful and don't get too many at once. 2-3 should be easy kill for you. Don't try to use spinattack on the enhanced creatures, just kill their mind and move on to the next one.

No, I don't believe it's a POI. I don't have the wp handy, but there should be a sticky on it hanging around in one of the forums.
In my experience, the hardest part of the caves is getting past the 2-3 enhanced kwi's at the entrance. After that, the top level is pretty easy (up to and including the Mercenary guard room).

I was there all by my self this morning. I was doing really well but then I got into that last room right before the Acklay (YES I ACTUALLY SAW THE DARN THING, AND NOBODY WAS AROUND!) By the time I got to the last room I had an Enhanced Kwi, 2 Enhanced Klikniks, and a Spider all on me at the same time. I did my best to intimidate, heal myself, and fight but they were picking at me and took me down finally. I was so upset when I died, but it was so much fun working my way down there! I realized my biggest mistake was aggroing too many beasts at one time, like someone above stated.
I think a SpinAttack2 is most effective in that room right after the big boulder-- if you try to attack one at a time, the klikniks will start using their dreaded ranged fire ball attack.
Loads of fun though working my way through it solo!

you could probably solo, but to megood armor is needed.also having another profession with defensive skills always comes in handy

I'm a stacked swordsman and I can solo the whole cave easily. Using equipment you could get at almost any decent vendor.
The trick is getting the kliknicks to go melee.
