make the klikniks go melee on you, their fireballs do quite a bit of damage even with armor.

Then we are being hit by acklay and klikniks that respwawn. The kilkniks seems to melt through my armor and I die.

Any suggestions on how to handle the kliks when fighting the acklay?

Armour that has high energy and blast damage protection and a really good PSG will also help. Let the PSG absorb the damage and wear out. Cheaper than armour and it will take the damage and lessened condition before the armour. They wear out fast, I carry a crate or two with me.

A couple of aa'kuan rings for +10 to ranged defense, and if you are doing FS, the ranged defense line. Instead of a regular plain ole backpack there is one you can get a schem for (forgot which quest now) that also adds to ranged and melee defense around +3. A few AA for ranged defense can't hurt.

Remember, just because you are a melee combatant does not mean you cannot have adequate ranged defense. It just means you don't have ranged damage mitigation.

You can warcry /peace the acklay and then run around and gather all the klikniks around you to melee mode and just area attack, then get back to the acklay.

key is getting them in melee,but if i get lucky and kill the acklay with nearly full buffs I hammer both kliks to near death,then feign death and go do something else for 2 hours,when i come back and acklay is there,i get up,kill each klik in one hit and then kill the acklay

Yeah drag acklay over a minute to the klikniks and kill them 1st they have a wicked ranged attack. Also make sure your not using modded 0 condition bracers or anything because there is a armorhole with those again. Anyways, acklay rarely hits as hard as the smaller klikniks so keep them at bay 1st. If your trying to outdamage someone, go to a spot where you can hide from the fireballs and still hit acklay.

Like everyone has been saying get em in melee. Klik's ranged and geo's ranged are the only things that can hurt me. and i'm the kinda guy who loves when people bring the 6 kwi train to me, cause they cant touch me and they go down like butter. Geo caves are cake if you have a 500+ dmg hammer. some comp armor that is not broken (you dont need a full suit i dont wear arm stuff in caves) decent buffs, brandy, and ahrisa. You really shouldnt ever have trouble in the caves. the only time i die is if i go afk in the merc room w/ my helmet off

your confusing....you talking about high energy and blast resist? so you mean klikniks do any of those 2 types of dmg? or both?


First dmg type i think of with fireballs is fire.

High energy resist to get past the (oh damn I can't remember thier name) droids that go running all around the place. Blast for the force enhanced kliks. I don't think they do fire damage as I've never been set on fire by them. I think it's blast or energy. More than likely blast.

Regardless, the point is that if they get you at range, and if you get surrounded by a few of them at least one wil be at range, increased ranged defense has got to help. And armour that is resistant to energy and blast, as well as some good PSG will be of more help to you than armour that is JUST high kinetic.

I'm trying to encourage you to diversify your defenses as the attacks you face are most often not simply kinetic melee attacks.

use intimidate and they will auto-switch to melee. If they dont you may have to go over to it and area attack once to let it know you mean business about stopping the retarded commando kwiknic fireballs

This is where us Wookiees come in handy... just /wookieeroar around the Kliks and they should all get intimidated and go melee on you.. then just area attack to your heart's content!
