Thread: griefing jedi.....

alright.. i got a swordman/doc and do fine soloing krayts.... but, more often than not, some camping jedi will come along and ruin my fun as they seem to have the attention span of a frog or something.... has any swordman been able to solve the jedi problem? or will they always be around to ruin our game?

Simple way to stop a jedi killing your krayt, peace out, jedi has no armour krayts do a lot of damage... add the 2 and you get a dead jedi.

First of all calling this griefing is ridiculous, second, if you want to make sure that you get lootrights make sure that you have a large group, otherwise others will most likely get the loot.

I haven't had much problem with jedi greifing while hunting kryat on bloodfin as much as other players. It seems like every hunt i have been on(which is about 3-4) there is alot of steals of loot. The only problem i have had with jedi is when one killed me while i was TEFed from an imperial mission trying to join Imperial when i was a newb.

You know that getting loot rights has nothing to do with the size of the group right.... all that matters is whichever player can do the most damage out of the entire kill time.
As a rifleman i outdamaged a 5 person group solo. I also outdamaged last night a djk on my server who is imo the strongest, but i outdamaged him on a canyon krayt.

yeah i know, im just sayin that a jedi, a swordsman, and a pistoleer shouldnt outdamage a swordsman and 2 riflemen

I've always found jedi want to team up with me lol, what I have found is rifleman coming in for the steal alot lately. I just peace out and watch them run but most have uber t21's so I can't match their damage

I can KS (and usually do) canyon and giants from one or two knights. I cannot KS from 3 of them. Also there is a guy on the server I play most (Chilastra), which is the best ranked dark jedi knight whocan KS a krayt from me using a perverted strategy and his best LS.
Advice:
1) Know who you are dealing. Let's assume you jumped on a canyon and after 20 seconds you see some lantern flash. Immediately /peace and try to run behind jedi. Keep an eye on the Combat log. If you see something like 'xxxxx wrath of kun hits a canyon kraytfor 3800 damage' youcan do it. If you see damage in the 4500-6000 range you still can try (assuming you have a 280-800+ damage ph)
2) DO NOT INTIMIDATE THE KRAYT! Be prepared to heal and use vercupti and pixie but DO NOT INTIMIDATE IT! If the krayt is still agro on you, hit /peace and run behind jedi (put the jedi between you and the dragon) and heal like crazy. Any smart jedi will try to use you as a tank. DO NOT ALLOW THIS.
3) If jedi runs and /peace, run in the opposite direction and /taunt like crazy and run and same time /melee2hhit3, run, run, /melle2hhit3. PUT maximum damage on krayt (use powerups). Any smart jedi will run also and spam saberthrow while the krayt is ruining your armor. But when you see the lantern flying hit /burstrun and run behind jedi while hitting /peace. Jedi will also run behind you so both of you will run in the same direction with the krayt after you. Keep hitting peace and try to click on jedi to see if he's healing. If he's constantly healing he lostalready.
4) Intimidate only when you feel you cannot heal anymore. When you intimidated the krayt, always run in the opposite direction and hit /taunt and /melee2hhit3. Heal as necessary.
When the /intimidate is going to wear off, /burstrun and /peace and let the jedi alone with the krayt. Let him stay alone for 30 secs and you heal yourself. Try to see if the jedi has a PvP template with novice brawler. If the jedi can tank the dragon (yes there are knights who can do it) stay behind him and try to spam /melee2hhit3, you have no choice, hat off.
Otherwise repeat from 1)
5) Fill your combat queue with /melee2hhit3 and feel free to type in spatial:
'Ok, here is the screenshot with you KS my krayt, I hope you will get banned'
'Nice LS man, why do you need another pearl?'
'I bet you cannot tank this alone'
'I'm here for the fun, don't care about the loot'
'Now I can see why all the people on this server hate you <insert jedi name>!'
/bonk <insert jedi name>
/jump <insert jedi name>
And my favorite (for giants), when the krayt is half-killed:
'This is a scythe quest dragon, lol, thanks for help'
The ideea is to make him lose some time with chat, any second means 4k damage less on the krayt.
6) Remember, the only special you use until the lantern is gone is /melee2hhit3. Use powerups continuously.
If you didn't get the loot rights get a better ph or a rifleman with you.

nice vnicula, only problem is a single jedi and a 2 other people were KSing me(master swords) and 2 master riflemen
of course, i was tanking and intimidating...

Heh, other swordsmen complaining about Jedi killing a krayt because they want to steal the loot and sell it to the Jedi themselves. How predictable. "OH NOES TEH JET-I IZ KILLSTEEELNG EYE CANT GET MAH LOOT!" I myself am a master swordsman, but appreciate it just as wellwhen a Jedi chooses to go after a krayt. Hey, they're the ones that need the pearl, and I'm not as selfish as some other players here who just "need" that extra 5 mil for their next ub3r p0wz3rh4mm3|2. A sad day indeed when it's considered griefing when a Jedi prevents another player from killing a high-end creature so they can sell the pearl to the same Jedi later(not literally for all those who can't take a hint).

some swordsmen have jedi alts 
and it's not like the krayts belong to the jedi..I belive it is extremely rude to attack a mob that someone else is attacking (Other than if that person asks for help..) and kill stealing in general.

M8 is notr fault that the onlyway too getworthy "resources" for my Ls r Elders/Krayt's...Lets think of it a little bit k?You r a Master Swordman,im a Jedi...By 80% you will hunt Krayts for money..By 99% i will Hunt Krayts so i can survive in PvP/Pve...And lets not forget thatanyJedi with finished Template has to killa Giantto be Knight..
Ps : As for the "stealing others Loot"...Yes thats Stupid....
