Thread: State of the Correspondent
Right now I'm waiting rather anxiously for first glimpses at the CU. Woo hoo! The Combat Upgrade is something very near and dear to me, having as it does, a lot of content that addresses concerns I've been working on for nigh a year now.
At the same time though, real life is taking a toll. I've had a lot of changes and issues perk up in real life that have been sapping my time and energy. I've been playing a lot more casually and haven't been spending quite the focused time on SWG that I had in the past.
On top of that, I've been a Correspondent for a rather long time now. I started as Brawler correspondent about a year ago. It's certainly been a good run.
So I think that I will be seeing the CU through to release and then taking a good break from the Correspondent racket. It'll be good to get some fresh blood in, and particularly to get someone who has perhaps a bit more time and energy than I have had available of late.
Now this is of course a big advance notice.
But I thought I should just let you know what's up with StGabe and all that. And don't worry, I'll still be around and active as a glowie after another takes the spot.Now to keep waiting for access to the CU!

No worries, Gabe...we all have a life outside SWG and needa distance / break from time to time and don't forget that there are 4 eyes watching...us Glowies must be good for something in the end 
After a year of collecting our issues/ideas for the CU and with its testing still ahead, i think the timing is right to keep some distance in order to regain strength anda clear mindtobe ready for the Sandbox.

I havent been around too often, who are the sandbox testers? Also, how do you get into the sandbox testing?
May sound a bit newbish i know but i've never looked into that subject

Off the top of my head... Myself, KreyMerr, and Noc-turnal are alltesting for swordsman, there's 2 more but i can't remember who they are.
To get chosen, you had to PM gabe with the reasons why you should be chosen (or somethin like that) a while back... He picked 5 out of all the applicants.

Dang, well good luck to you all im sure you guys will make great beta testers lets hope for new techniques and more variety of weapons.

Actually you have the chance to make a great beta tester for the CU.

Go to this link and read THs post. In his post is another link to sign up to become a CU beta tester. Please note that this is NOT the sandbox, but the next phase of testing. So while you wont be in the 'sandbox' you will still be involved with early testing before the general population if you are accepted.
