I am currently master doc and master swordsman with some force sensitive speed tree, all 4 for melee.
I want to become part of bounty hunter so I can start taking out jedis
Is swordsman at all effective against jedi? I love swordsman and really dont give it up, any tips on how to take out jedi using swordsman and some template suggestions.... thanks =)

I have a 700max dmg acklay hammer atm and I just got some nice bones so gonna try get more nice hammers made.
I have my speed at 93 so 2 away from the 95 cap.
I swing headhit3's with my current acklay hammer at about 1.090 seconds
So, thats plenty of damage....
what if I went.....
Master Swords
Medic 0030
BH 3000
??
is that enough to hunt down and pull off killin mid level jedi?

Yes u can kill mid level jedi with this build...jedi have no melee migration and so your ph can hurt them realy much...and they havin not that high toughness...but if they have some "pvp-skills" they will flip to tka and dizzy/kd u...keeping u all the time dizzyon your a$$ u could be surprised finding yourself at the cloner...

I strong tip would be to use takthillo, the defense vs. KD food, as lack of combat equilibrium is probablyyour greatest loss with swordsman. If you get dizzy/Kd'd you will most certainly die.
Also, remember to use hit3 to inflict dizzy, and try for lauch to posture down, and hope the combination will make a KD.

I wouldn't be bothered to do that as your main goal. The dizzy doesn't stick good enough and doesn't last long enough for it to be cured within 5 seconds after the Jedi is on the ground.

Honestly, I duel my jedi friends to help them become PvP ready and the dizzy/lunge is what kills them every time.

so...how do I do the dizzy and posture down correctly??
Do I area attack 3 and then lunge 1 or something?
cuz I got them dizzied and kneeling, but when they got up they didnt fall over, is this the incorrect way to do it?
help plz! =)

If you have the skill combat equilibrium from TKA or fencer, you can automatically recover from dizzy/KD so that can keep them on their feet. Also, as far as I remember, hit3 has a better chance of dizzy than area3, so you might want to use that instead.

lunge 2 = Knockdown, much better than kneeling, and 20 meter range..........

I just dropped 3000 BH, M Swords, 3200 Medic for a break from BHing, but killed a good few jedi with 200k+ bounties, solo.
Lunge1 for posture-down, it has 20m range, so its easier to get off. I typically swung hit3 twice, then lunge1'd, then back to hit3 to finish them (reapplying the dizzy using hit3 works a treat).
You need to be speed capped for this to be truly effective against the jedi who can heal their states - otherwise they'll get up before you can reapply the dizzy.
Also, food, food and more food is your life saver, as food and drink becomes your surrogate defenses.
I went with:
1. Eat Synth steak when getting buffs.. the effect lingers for 1 hour, and you'll be empty-stomach again before heading there
2. Drink brandy while buffing, drink another as soon as you're empty, rinse and repeat.
3. After getting mission, find out where they are, and head that way. When you're 10 mins out, eat a Citros Snow Cake (accuracy food) and Pikatta Pie (+54% dodge food). By the time you get there, you should have space for a Thaktillo right before attacking, and maybe even another steak during the fight.
4. Before attacking, drink an Ithorian Mist - +22 def vs Dizzy drink makes you harder to dizzy, and if you are, it wears off sooner.
I avoided vercupti - its a lot less stomach efficient than synth steak, and 1 steak will stop a lot more than the 1k HAM vercupti adds.
Oh, and also get dancer/music buffs, and some good stim B's - my 3200 Medic saved my butt a few times.
I've retired with more than enough BH experience that I shouldn't have to grind to get invest 3 next time I want to swing my hammer at jedi, and it was fun
Oh, and last of all, keep them intimidated all the time they're standing.
Good luck.
Geno.

wow thanks man! for the food/drink guide.
I was using just 2 shots of brandy and a anti knockdown +99 to knockdown defense and if they started hitting my head I would eat another canape. I was just doing this setup for normal PVP and I owned nearly every class cept some guy who had a 1000dmg lance and was pikeman among other things, he had major stacked defenses.
But Hit3 and Lunge1 work amazingly well, another reason I believe it works so well, to my surprise....is most people think u are gonna "knockdown" them, but when u posture down, well not so many anticipate that in their defenses and its much easier to stick IMO because of that fact alone.
the TKM I took out last night was blown away when I posture downed him and he flopped for a good 20 seconds and I got a good 20 head hits in and he was dead in like 8 of those, with all his foods and such lol.
I did not think about just using Hit3 tho, good point u made about it constantly keeping the dizzy on someone..I will try that out =) and yes Im speed capped, well nearly Im at 93....which makes my hit3 around 1.1 seconds of delay.
now the question is, what do I do if a jedi starts to run? hope lunge1 stix on him? - thats if he isnt on the ground already.
if not, and Im screwed on the kill?
