had two made for me yesterday with better than base sword cores...
one turned out around: 183 - 314 @ 2.5 speed / sliced 183 - 314 @2.0
the other: 174 - 312 @ 2.3 / sliced 174 - 312 @1.8
My best scythe is 237 - 465 @ 2.2 / sliced + pup'd

I made one a couple of days ago for a guy. He had no paste or yellow cubes.
Scythe turned out to be 181-310/2.6 I think it experimented out to high 80%.
So take those stats then just add in any damage that you can get from the paste and yellow cubes you get.

Scythes are constructed with 2 identical Geo sword cores. Not normal sword cores. There are two ways to get these cores. You can loot them off of something, or you loot the schematic for geo sword cores and give that to a weaponsmith also.
A crafted geo sword core uses 50 units of neutronium steel, a geo power device(the cube), and an optional solidifying component.
Geo cubes, which are looted, come in 4 types. White, which have no stats and just fill the hole in the schematic. They are also the most common. Yellow cubes, which have damage and effectiveness mods. Although I don't know what armor uses cubes at the point. They are what you normally look for when you wnt a scythe madeas they enhance the damage of the core, and hence, the weapon its self. The third type is green, and it increases condition of crafted items. Used best in the DXR6 disrupter rifle. Then red cubes, which reduce encumberance and HAM cocts of weapons and armor made with them(the rarest and IMHO, the most worthless.)
The paste, or geo solidifying agent, looks like a tube of toothpaste. Thats where the nickname comes from. These also have damage enhancing stats, so the better scythes are made with them. But they are optional components in the geo sword cores, so if you don't have one, its no big deal.
