Perhaps y'all could help me with some template suggestions. I'm currently working on mastering swordsman (and will stick with it, thats what I want to do), and will be soon taking BH 3000 once I gain enough pistol xp to master marksman (for the second time). Other than that, I've got carbineer 0111 ( a holo told me to master carbineer a long time ago, but I'm no longer hologrinding), but I'm not sure I'm going to keep that or not. Would carbine skills be helpful at all? or should I drop it for something else? Perhaps some fencer or teras kasi?
The reason I'm contemplating developing more carbine (or alternatively, pistoleer) skills is because I want to supplement my swordsman/BH with some more abilities or defensive strength, but I want to keep my SP demand low. Having already mastered marksman, taking carbineer or pistoleer (or maybe even rifleman?) trees would be easier than having to start all over again (like I would with TKA or fencer). I'll behunting Jedi, so keep this in mind.

Crap, I don't understand how these forums work entirely. Accidently posted the same thing twice, in the middle of typing my message. So here's the rest....
Also - about bomb droids. What BH/Smuggler skills do you have to use in order to be able to use them effectively? I here that only smugglers and BH's can use them, but I'm not sure what that means, exactly...
Between mastering swordsman, gaining BH 3000, using bomb droids, and whatever template-filler suggestions the community can help me with, hopefully I can do my part to suppress the rise of these retarded jedi!

Griefer! Give me 1 good reason to hunt jedi and i'll eat my words but no. your reason is to kill jedi so they loose xp. your just a griefer. just like all the BH out there who belive that they are the "jedi control". They are not. You are all just griefers tring to ruin other peoples play time.
And dont come at me saying that its for cash, cause you could make over a million credits in about an hour just by hunting mokk and janta on dantooine. its not xp either. cause all you need is 3/0/0/0 bh to hunt jedi. why would you want more? you are just here to grief them.
Just give me 1 reason. oh and just so you know, im not a jedi and i never hologrinded. im a Swordsman.

Why shouldn't he hunt Jedi? Not everyone who wants to do the BH Investigation line is automatically a griefer. That's like saying all Jedi are good and decent.
Besides, what does it matter? He asked for advice on a template to help with the "organic" population control for Jedi, and you troll and flame him? Sheesh.
Trying to ruin other people's playtime? Oh please..this entire game has been ruined by hologrinding powergamers (who are now Jedi, coincedentally), not by people who want to do something about the Jedi explosion.
Stuff like this happens when the Devs make shortsighted decisions involving professions. The Saber TEF should have NEVER been taken out, and BH should have had their profession fixed (droids and whatnot). That would've made this little Jedi parade party a lot more tolerable..but instead, they ganked everyone and pushed Jedi to the forefront.
I for one don't blame the original poster for wanting to join in the hunt, it's only natural when one species gets out of control.

Thanks for watching my back.
People need to buck up and deal with the consequences of their actions. Being a Jedi SHOULDN'T be a cakewalk, I just want to do my part to make sure it isn't. I knowJedi hunting isn't TRULY population control, just harassment, but I feel harassed by the fact that I have to see 10 jedi wandering around every starport.
I applaud those who've taken the ungodly number of hours of their lives, and forfeited REAL social contact in order to obtain the privilege of playing as a Jedi, but even Jedi need something to do. If they're not fighting other players, every Jedi will just grind the Jedi mountain as well, and then there will be not only 10 Jedis at every starport, there will be 10 Jedi MASTERS at every starport.
Thats not something I'd like to see happen. So I'll slow them down a bit by "griefing", if you'd like to call it that. (Though anybody that actually feels grief over being killed in a video game has much bigger issues than losing some xp.....It's a game.)
Back to the REAL subject of this post, does anyone have some constructive advice for me regarding the template discussed at the beginning of the thread?

I was a bh and decided i liked swordsman better here is my template bh 3000 pistoleer 0044 and ofcourse swordsman the important defenses are
kd 75
melee 62
dizzy 60
posture down 30
intimidate 20
melee mitagation3
other stats around 50
average dps compared to a jedis 400 (me with my scythe) to 600 ( master ls with dervish)
ive killed 5 different jedi since this varying in strength
and to the one who thinks this is griefing i have never killed a jedi who has not been a menace to my server population or not shown off in coronet and i consider myself more of a police force. If devs would reinstate money i would do it for just that. And obviously youve never been griefed by a jedi or met an elitist.

griefing jedi?
Most people look down on the jedi hunters, but most forget that actually hunting another player in this game is fun. I would do it not for money, not for xp, not for griefing, not because I am jealous, not because I think I am boba fett, not because the Emperor told me too, not to control the population, but because it would be FUN!
I am not a BH and have nothing against the jedi, but I fight a lot of them in friendly duels and it is fun, hunting them would be fun, killing them would be fun, did I mention I think it is fun.
I dont hunt NS to grief them and keep the witch lady population down, I do it for fun.
People need to lighten up over the Jedi/BH thing. It has been this way since the beginning, it is only now that young jedi feel like showing their faces with no saber TEF, so more are getting on the terminals. So as a BH you click on the terminal and you can a) hunt an NPC or b) hunt a player. Which would you choose?

I am so sick of people crying about griefers in this game - get over it.
If you want to hunt jedi, then do it. Kill as many as you can.Have fun doing it.
I only wish there were more ways to PVP than being rebel or imperial or agreeing to a duel.
It is NOT griefing to kill a jedi. It is a system designed by the game makers and it is "working as intended".
Have a grief-free day.

ill have to admit there is a great deal of fun in hunting another player i just wish it wasn't always a jedi, what about smugglers etc but thats another matter, as it stands swordsman is one of the best professions for hunting jedi.

To answer your question. Since all people like to do on message boards is **edit**
This is how i see it. Jedi are melee profession really. yes they can throw saber and force attack you but it really on in hand to hand, so I would go with with fencer class. Because first you have pistoller and pistols and 1hand swords go together nicely. I am guessing your gona be useing two hand sword obivously so dodge aint gona be helping you but, i know a jedi and they have posture down attacks they like to use so its wise to have defences towards those not to mention the other defences you could get. And if you really want to stay in Marksman then i would suggest Master rifleman
if you see your target from a distance you can fire away, to stun, dizzy him and he will most likly come to you which is when you pull out your sword ^_^
hope i helped
