Thread: New master level weapon idea

They won't put this kind of thing in. You have made this weapon overly powerful, AP3 and 300-500 (From Standard Cores!). It would be unbelievably easy to kill anyone you wanted if you were Speedcapped now, never mind when the combat balance hits. It's stronger than a T21, except we wouldn't have the worry of having to kite. Now if made with the better drop, this would be about 500 Min damage (Minimum!) and 900 Max, couple that with the fact of AP3, and you will kill any oponent with ease. Using just a standard oponent, with 90% resist Composite (bear in mind this will be nerfed), and Light resists, the average base hit is 400 then x1.5 and x 1.5 again (for AP3) is 900 base damage. Now taking into account resists (on the best possible composite armour available), that becomes 90 damage. 90 damage x 2.5 for specials is 225 Damage to the Mind a hit to someone with the best possible Composite. That's with standard loot drops. 225 Damage maynot seem that much, but for PvP, that's alot. Now when they nerf armour, so perhaps 60% is the cap, 360 will be the base damage. 360 x 2.5 is 900 damage to the Mind a hit. How long will it take for you to kill someone then?


This is a nice idea, but you've made the weapon too overpowered.

The devs enjoy giving us new toys, first the scythe which is awsome, my personal one being as strong as my fast powerhammer, and the Hack, a bit of a dissapointment. I believe that achieving master swordman shoudl allow us access to a new weapon. This weapon would be a versatiel looted schem, which also required a loot component as well as certain resources to craft. The specialty of this weapon would be in the looted core.


The weapon


Sith Vibrosword


Description- An ancient blade used long ago by the powerful sith warlords, this weapon still appears to be in combat condition and bears the interwoven cortosis weave for lightsaber resistance. The blade also appears to carry a powered central core that both vibrates the blade and gives it a light glow and the cutting power to penetrate even the heaviest armor. This core appears to be the main component setting this blade apart form a standard vibrosword.


the base stats


ap3

damage kenetic? or if possible see my idea on the cores

speed base 4.0 speed dependent on cores


range from at least 300-500 with basic cores


accuracy dependent on core


ham -core dependency


ok now on to the special part


Sith vibro Core

this is the special component necesary for crafting the blade these components vary from base to high damagelow speed and also have the chance for a dot that is placed on the weapon post crafting. If possibel having certain cores change the damage type would be very cool maybe at the cost of damage.

Description follower of exar kun and researcher of the ancient ways of the sith.

Standard damage Kenetic between 1200-2200 per hit (in line with a krayt i think) Spawn alone and one per spawn may drop either the core the schem or a blade. Carries the Sith weapon. Npcs also drop crystals that are at least of quality rating



So what do yall think it would giv eus something more worthwhile to do than hunt elders and krayts seeing as we benefit from they drop. Give me feedback lol

Still, I think if this was ever to implemented, this has to be toned down somewhat, or Swordsman would be hit by the nerfbat very fast.

Wow, this is a great idea...if you wantto make us uber in just about every aspect. Isn't it bad enough that we can solo ns elders now? Geez, all you fricken people are obsessed with getting ap3 and new damage types blah blah blah. I can see a new damage type, sure w/e, but you want a weapon with ap3, a new damage type, great speed, and great damage? This is a horrible idea, especially since the devs have already given usperfectly good weapons. The scythe and the hack. You wanna know why the hack isn't quite is good as the scythe? Because it was created so that it would not need a nerf after the cb. The scythe, the powerhammer, and the rest of the weapons will all get nerfed after the cb so when it comes the hack will look pretty damn good since it can get to be almost as good as the scythes are now.

well i guess i know who one starred, but you guys have got me thinking so heres the rebalanced sword


Sith Vibrosword


Ap 3

speed 4.0

damage type kenetic


damage 180-300 with basic cores that shoudl be right inline with a t-21 maybe even alittle less mine are on average 200-350+ without stocks ( im a weaponsmith also)


and why shoudln't we have a ap 3 we are the damage dealers in the devs eyes we are less accurate, we can solo elders only because of the hammer doing blast and then only because of armor that was never suppose to be in game and will be nerfed. if you think swordsman are so uber go solo an elder in 60 percent composite.


oh the sycthe is also post cb in stats as is any new schematic weapon added since the energy lance.


Oh and timothi i see you are a master defense stacker aswell therefore you have capped melee defense so really what does it matter we all know you probably use an acklay baton in pvp and only have swordsman so you cna solo high level content. And note another thing i stated in my original design that the additional damage types would come with reductions in speed and damage as a trade off.

devs=uber lazy, so it would look exactly like a 2hand cleaver but with a different colored handle =/

umm just throw this out but the stun baton is way over rated in pvp. i do the same damage as someone with an average stun baton with my average ph and swords. also since fenecers can't target mind swordman weapon>stun baton. only way a stun baton is uber is if it has like +200 bones in it and gets a good damage slice. and thougs tpes of bones are hard to find

you forget ap does get trough armor still. and i have tested this out many times. and each time same result. i was doing the same damage as they were and i won and i wasn't using stun armor or a psg. and they were wearing normal compo armor. cuz a stun is about 150-170 after a slice. and no ap. and add in that it does not have any ap multipyer and so on and it is about 100 a hit. and that is without using extra food like the steak. and with my ph vs armor it does about 80-100 damage while on steack cuz we still get an additional 25% resist over armor. so baically armor only resist about 60-70% and that means we still do about an average of 70-100 vs an armored opponet with compo armor on, using head hit 3.also i am not adding in the toughness resists


so as i said it does about the same damage. then if ya add psgs and stun armor then ph will turn out greater.


i pvp alot now. and toughs are about the numbers i get

hmm you pvp alot yet you don't have an elite baton? i as aweaponsmith on my alt have crafted over 100 acklay enhanced batons and most of these weapons have been atleast with plus 100 bones and they turned out very good. ie 200-300 range


you must also be forgetting the range mods on a power hammer and howmany times you hit in comparision to how many times they hit.
