Thread: Swords V. Jedi??

Since jedi cant wear comp anymore...how do sworsd fare against them now. Unless im missing somethign i would imagine we could do some damage?
Anyone dueled some jedi post publish?
Any Tips?

Yeah, I held my own for about two-3 minutes against the top Jedi on the server.....for dark jedi about 1 and ahlaf to two minutes max against light, but I am not capped, my armor isnot the best, I had no PSG, was not using a power up, and did not have any mind buffs. NO mind buffs. I also had lousy canape at the time. what I have now is litteraly twice as good. I can now get, with both mind buffs 3k mind and5k secondaries....so I could probably do pretty darn good properly set up...which I wasnt..I might be able to own them then....(that is how they got me was mind) and they could clear states. Before the update I owned anyone without clear states. now I own them quicker

Alright, well I play intrepid and am very new to SWG. I'm 4-0-0-2 Swords, Master Brawler, and almost Master Rifle. I'm just looking for guidance on the profession, and equipment in game. For instance what is speed tape and how do I use it or get it.
My problem I guess is understanding how a Power Hammer is such an elite weapon, when the ones I buy sliced do less damage over time then my 1.7 speed 300 max dmg two handed curve sword. I know that sword is crap too, but its the best I can find, and money is not a problem.
I'm Skrimshaw in game as well, so if you have any free time and see me on, I am happy to learn anything you can teach.

ok I got around my work filter replied to you. BTW that sword you have aint bad at all actually. will work well for you .. perhaps better than a scythe....for now

Yeah I like that sword, I go through rancors and biz natches pretty fast. I am 75k combat xp from trying Scythe.

I had Master Swordsman/TKM on TC2, and used one of the area attacks, and took out 6 jedi before I died.

although jedi cannot wear composite armor, they can get the skill Force Armor, which helps alot in pvp. I have dueled a couple jedi, and haven't lost. One was a dark knight (master lightsaber, master force wielder) and one was an up and coming jedi. The key to fighting jedi, is to be patient. They WILL run out of force, you just have to stay alive long enough for that to happen. When fighting a jedi, remember to take that armor off... all it does is slow down your regen.

I imagine you wear PSGs though? how high a sliced one get in LD resist? and how long htey last? full fight? or youneed to change in the middle of the fight?
