I think they are both good templates - so in the end, you'll just have to decide whichever you enjoy the most.

Personally, I'm going with master sword, master rifle, master brawler, novice medic- I just like the extra tactical options available to me with this combo. I have no real desire to make a living buffing other players, and it's really not that much of an incovienence for me to go find a master doc to buff me. The novice medic has given me enough healing power to stay alive in most fights, so master doc would be overkill for me.

What's your opinion about that ? Feel free to propose another prof if you think it's better for pve.

Having been a Master Swordsman/Master Rifleman/Master Brawler with Medic 1 0 0 0, I can tell you that the combination is great. What you cannot kill at range, you can generally kill up close. It allows you to attack mind at range, then when they close on you, you can continue to attack mind up close. Conversely, if you start out attacking mind up close, and they run, you can finish them off without being kited. For PvE, it rocks, and I found myself relying on Swordsman alot for PvE.

For PvP, I generally relied on Rifleman more, and because I got tired of getting poisoned and diseased, I chose to go Master Doc. However, I chose to keep Rifleman, which meant I dropped Swordsman/Brawler. But the priciple is the same. You can buff yourself anytime you want. You can heal states and diseases. You can help keep your companions alive, and when you can't, you can rez them.

So it truly is a matter of what you want to do. If you are doing primarily PvE, and you have ready access to buffs. Getting Novice Medic with Swordsman/Rifleman allows you to use Stim Bs, and they are adequate for most purposes. If you expect to use both Rifle and melee, the combination is great. On the other hand, if you do not expect to use Rifle much, you will have a lot going for you as a Doc, too. But that is something you will have to decide.

I'm a doc/sword and I love it. Buffing anytime, state heals, nice damage heals, rezzing, etc. I find it very useful.

Hi there,

as other had said...swords/rifle is a very good combo for pve! sparing 182 points for both master and u have 68 left to go...i prefer tka 4-0-0-0 + novice med and scout 1-0-0-0...so u have high dmg with rifle and melee + a wide ranged of dmg-types(energy, kinetic, blast, acid etc.) and on the other side u can use stimpacks for healing yourself and mediate poison, disease and wounds as a tka...

Now i want a stable template and after i read the posts about doc or rifleman i still can't decide what is the best for pve.
