I never know what weapon to use at 0,0,0,1.

2h curved sword. Thats about all you should use until you get master or almost master.

i would say once you get master sword techniques to start using the powerhammer, because with that you have some speed mods, and you should almost have advanced finesse, so when you reach that level of skill i would say use the powerhammer. personally i used the powherhammer once i got certification for it

but that was my personal preference.

I use a cleaver mainly, just waiting to get master sword techniques before i bring out the powerhammer. Tho i use is sometimes, nothing like hitting for 1700 in a normal swing. Just need to get the last box.

Yea I'd go with the Two-Handed curved sword as well.

once again, a good 2h curved is the best choice right now, youll rarely miss and youll be pumpin out big damage. but once you get the first accuracy and speed mods id say switch to cleaer, as its more reliable, and bring out the power hammer once you have master finesse and master techniques.

I don't understand something, and maybe someone can clear it up for me. Why does everyone say that you should use a Cleaver, instead of a TwoHanded Curved Sword once you get higher in level? The Cleavers I have seen usually run something like 110-220 with a 3.6 speed. I have a TwoHanded Curved Sword that does 79-259 2.6. Now I know the speed doesn't mean anything at higher levels, but the damage sure does. I have since gotten my TwoHanded Curved Sword sliced, so it's now doing a MaxDamage of 318. I have done over 2300 with the TwoHanded Curved Sword with a 2HandHit2. I can't do close that much with the Cleaver. I mean the one thing I do like about the Cleaver is, it definitely looks better than the TwoHanded Curved Sword, but other than that the TwoHanded Curved Sword is better IMO. Am I missing something?

Well u choose a cleaver if u wanna do lots of specials because of their reduce cost, 2hand curved takes more action points on each specials.
So if u are surround and need to do several spin attaks or area attacks switch to cleaver u will live longer.

I'm fairly new to the Swordsman group, 0/1/1/1. I'm hearing that the 2h curve is a lot better than the cleaver. I was just wondering what are the normal stats on the curved sword. I'm only hitting for around 200 to 300 per hit. I don't have the stats on my sword as i am at work, so all i really want to know is my damage output normal?

I would recommend the 2h curved sword. I am a master and I use the curved sword, I'll take speed over power anyday. The cleaver is pretty good for a beginner, it doesnt take much ham.

I guess I am the only one, but I find myself using the 2-handed axe more and more. I am a Wookie and with my natural health regen, I can special all day long and not suffer for it. I also find the damage much more consistant vs. the wide min-max range of the 2hcs. I am 0/4/1/2 and could probably use the PH now without too much trouble, but I can solo Bolle's easily with mindhit1 and spam headhit2 until they die. I swing it at pretty close to speed cap (speed 3.1) and it has accuracy modifiers of +11 vs the -31 of my PH. Just a much more consistant weapon for me. Besides, Not every melee on Chilastra walks around with an axe

I don't know why these guys recommend otherwise, but I haven't put down my Powerhammer since the day I got novice and it suits me just fine.

The variable that is always ignored in these conversations is that not every character is the same as every other one. My Trandoshan has mountains of Strength but his Action drains quickly. So the 2-Handed Curved Sword doesn't work as well for me. But I can swing this here Powerhammer all day long.

There is no "best weapon"-- there's only the one that's best for you.

When I first picked up my Powerhammer at novice Swordsman, the speed realy hurt (5.4 after speed sliced). Sure I was pulling out some big hits with 2hand hit 2, but it took so **edit** long between hits, that before long I switched back to my 2hand curved sword. I prefered to use this untill I got finess2 (and the speed mod) because I was doing consistant damamage quickly, without the need to get the big hits from the powerhammer.

I believe it is more of a personal prefference. Do you wana see those womping 3k hits, and take forever (atm) to swing again just to miss and wait again, or will you settle for the lower damage hits that hit quickly and don't usually miss.
