when facing a ranged player in pvp when my main combat class was swordsman, i would commonly use lunge, but that was before the kd patch, and i could spam it to keep them there. if it was only effective once every thirty seconds i would have had a snowballs chance in hell of gettting another hit off on a smart ranged opponent. this is because when i posture change some1 they get up in LESS than a second, and they start sliding even BEFORE the get up.

so basically i never stop their forward movement, and thus have no chance to get off a mind bleed or in that case any other move.

but ppl on here are ssaying how they can get off a mind bleed, and if their lucky even a head hit.

so i wanna know how long ur lunge effectivly keeps ur target from moving in pvp. i personally am on tarquinas, and thx in advance.

You just have to use lunge on the move and keep moving towards your target (past it if you're getting a significant lag/slide effect) to get that second hit off. It isn't that difficult really.

Lunge should get you at least one extra hit. Enough to pop a Mind Hit 2 to help with the fight.

Another thing I noticed recently, though it isn't TOO helpful (just because it's mostly luck in timing), is this:

If you are brought to kneel while burst running the burst ends. Which means if you're within 15m of someone and they burst and you get your lunge off their burst is done, and if you happened to burst at the same time you now have a serious advantage in that they'll never be able to get out of your range.
