Hello everyone,

I am a new swordsman(almost to novice) and i was looking at our ranged and melee defense mods. They really aren't that great and i was wondering if it would be a good idea to take up TKA and get their defense line( the one that takes combat xp), since i could get it while still getting my swordsman skills. Do their defense mods work for us, basically are ranged and melee defense generic abilities as in doesnt matter where you get them, you always use them, or are they like toughness where you have to be using that particular weapon to get the defense? Just thought it would be nice to have around +30 defense to both ranged and melee on top of our like +25.

Uhm our Finesse line uses combat xp too. Could be a long process to develope your character if you need combat xp for two professions.

I'm actually planning on doing this as I have 200k combat exp at master swordsman and nothing to spend it on. The tka precision line is unique in that you gain all of the classes melee/ranged defense mods (last I checked you get none at master tka) so you'd have the evasion of a tka master at level 4 precision.
