We are conducting research to help focus our efforts on providing the most effective weapons at the right price for theSwordsman profession and others. We would greatly appreciate it if you would take the time to comment on the following:

• Which weapon (or weapons) are you most interested in purchasing?


• What stats (damage, speed, HAM costs, etc) are you looking for? (unsliced)


• How much would you expect to pay?

2.Two hand curved swords

Make me some quality ones, and i'll pay top $.

powerhammer and two handed curved sword are the most used weapons. Some use two handed cleaver too.

dommage and speed are what I look in first. HAM cost can be bypass with food or doctor buff.

good two handed curved sword : about 64-249 and 2.5 speed
good powerhammer : about 124-460 and 5.5 speed
but remember that on your server you may have better (or worse) average stats.

For a good weapon I'd be ready to pay about 10k a sword and 15k a hammer. But price can change a LOT from one server to another.

Yarika pretty much summed it up.

I really don't like paying more than 20k for a sword (that includes PH). Even the best one's I had don't last very longbecause I use ham friendly power ups religiously which some weaponsmiths have told me wear down a weapon much faster. I also don't pay hug sums of cash for something that has a few point better damage since our swings are so inconsistant to begin with.

I shop around a lot (mostly for the fun of it) so I always have a fresh weapon readyand shelf the currentoneonce I get the below 500 quality. (500/13000 avg)

1. Power Hammers - will normaly pay around 15-25k - but would prob go up to 40ish for an realy uppa version - hell throw in some Krayt tissue, some rancor bone or what ever, and price could prob be 100k

2. 2-handed curved swords - will normaly pay around 10k - would prob go up to 20-25k for THAT special one

All of the information here is correct, except for the galaxy specific information, like pricing. On Kettemoor, where you are located, the two swords never run more than 10K or so, most of the time they can be had starting around 7.5K and the power hammer averages about 15K. This is for the advanced models of each. Just wanted to clue you in on the pricing I see.

My personal favorite at the moment is the Cleaver, but when I achieve Doctor, I assume it will not matter much which I use.

Agruel, I have noted the same thing on Kett.

I notice no one has mentioned the vibro axe or 2-handed axe- are thesejunk?

Junk is a harsh word, but for swordsmen higher up on their profession tree you will rarely see those weapons used.

The vibro axe is junk... maybe if you find an enhanced vibro motor, that might un-junk it... but vibro weapons in general are hidiously innaccurate compared to their DPS. The power hammer is innaccurate too, but it has the tradeoff of having the best damage of any melee weapon, plus it hits against blast.

Anyway, here's what I'd go with:

2h Axe, considered a newbie weapon for most... great to use until your accuracy skills catch up around 2h Melee Weapons 3 or so in the brawler line. The damage vs accuracy tradeoff against 2h curved swords is really good at those low levels. These go for about 1.5-3k on Ahazi. A good one will top out at around 170-190 damage... a *great* one will top out at around 215.

2h Curved Sword, used by many even after gaining the Power Hammer cert. Most swordsmen use the 2h Curved sword until Sword Finesse 2 or so, if not longer. These go for about 5k on Ahazi. A good one will top out at around 220 damage... a great one will top out at around 260.

2h Cleaver. These are rare as all heck, since they require colat iron, which has only spawned twice on Ahazi in the last4 months. Most people want em for looks... I don't even know what the stats are... I'm getting my first one today. But... due to the rarity and the looks factor, you can usually get away with some pretty good prices... like the 20-30k range.

Power Hammer. The ultimate melee weapon in the game right now. Mine is sliced at 594 max damage and 5.5 speed, but the -31 accuracy hurts a lot, so I only use it when I'm grouped. The weaponsmith I bought mine from charges 7k for her 414 max damage powerhammers (those were the pre-patch ones) and 9k for the ones like mine (464 max damage) which are the post patch ones. You can probably charge more... in fact, I think she only charges about half of what most of the weaponsmiths on the server charge. Most people expect to pay around 15k for a good high end weapon like that.
