Im a master doc/2-4-2-2 fencer. Im becoming dissolusioned in fencing though. I can tank most mobs reasonably well so the defences fencer offers dont really interest me any more. I find the damage I do with fencer too low for my liking as well.

Is swordsman the answer to my dissolusionment? Or shouldI look elsewhere for my melee fix?

What is it your wanting to do?

HUGE amounts of damage?

Crowd control?

I dont know

I just want a proffession that will keep me interested, because atm, fencer isnt.

I suppose i just want to know if swordsman is different enough from fencer.

well i find that swordsman is definetly a good tank if you put him in decent armor, buff me up and i can tank krayts till the banthas come home. as for damage output yeah swordsman is tons better than fencer expecialy cause all the weaponswe haveare AP2 except for the novice brawler heavy axe instead of only having one little knife to rely on if you have any armor that needs pierced.

i have a MHS and am working on fencer for some other options in combat but i find the grind is slow and not all that fun, the only up side i have seen so far is the stun weapon cause so few things have stun reisits.

overall i like swordsman much more than fencer just cause it is faster paced, yeah i take a litle bit more damage when wielding a scythe but i deal out so much more damagethat i find its more usefull than having all the dodge and toughness modifiers of fencer.

WellI went swordsman and im enjoying it

Its much better (for me) than fencer and carrying a huge hammer round rather than a rusty pipe makes me feel so much better.

I changed from Blademaster to swordsman and I haven't had more fun.Fencer is great with defences.You can take on a MOB for hours whittling away with it while it misses you. With swordsman I can take on the same MOB with less hits and I'm only 0 2 0 3!!! WAY more powerful and a lot more fun

I just swithced from fencer to swordsman today, and no matter how you play swordsman is way more fun. I went through every other combat profession and just today decided to try it out and i should have done this one from the beginning. Oh , and a big ass hammer is way better than a peice of plumbing.
