Swordsman Archive

I'm looking to Master Swordsman within the next couple of days and I have to agree. I am having fun running up to things and pounding on them with my Power Hammer. Now, if someone can explain to me why a Swordsman is using a Hammer, I'd appreciate it. I'm a CH also, so that does make things easier, but I still have plenty of reds aggroing me on a daily basis. With a good set of armor, I can tank many things on advanced planets. I actually did a little PvP last night after I healed an overt faction member so I had a TEF. Dude starts shooting me, incapped me once as I charged him but luckily a fellow Imp was there to heal me right away and after I got up, I hit the guy for over 1000 damage in PvP. If that's not impressive, then...well, then it's not, I guess. Anyway, I have fun with it and the new red streamers really make the class worth playing!

When SWG first came out I already had my profession picked.......Bounty Hunter is all I wanted to become. I became a Expert BH/ Master Pistoleer and stayed that way for the longest time. So, I get my first holocron and it tells me to Master Doc. I thought about it long and hard and for a lil while didnt want anything to do with Master Doctor at first.

Then the grinding started on Master Doctor. Three days later I had given up all my combat skills and I was a Master Doctor. Second holocron told me to Master Swordsmans.......my first thought was I hate my life!!!!!!!! But then something came to me about me being able to buff my stats and pretty much tanking anything that didnt hit my mind.

I did the typical grindof the first couple of tiers of swordsman on Coreillian Butterflies. Then once I became an apprentice swordsman......still not that powerful.......I journey to dantooine to unleash the beast on some pikets. Of course I had a friend help out with a pet if more than one got on me at a time. I was really impressed with the strength of swordsman and its a heck of a lot more fun then bounty hunter ever was. I guess for the simple fact that you have a high chance of getting slain because you in the heat of the battle. Bounty Hunter you just sit back and pull the trigger never getting hit. More stratedegy goes in swordsman then BH and thats a fact.

To make a long story short I have feel back in love with SWG because of the holocron craze.....for the simple fact it telling me to master swordsman. If any Swordsman on Ahazi reads this post...........I give free buffs to all swordsman...........Moobokie is my in game name. Happy hunting fellow Bladesters

That is freat dude, no one does damage like a swordsman except the commandos. Even still I can't imagine doing anyting except brawling.

I used to be master carbineer and by novice swordsman i was outdamaging and out lasting what i ever did as carbineer. Although i have had to get medic skills to stay in the fight a little bit longer, but with some good composite you can tank a good amount of stuff. So far i can tank (without pets or friends) huurton huntresses and bull rontos and i am only 0-0-0-1 i can hardly wait to master this powerful class. And once i get me a set of RIS armor i intend to try my hand at solo a krayt dragon (fully buffed of course). I predict that RIS armored master swordsman will be the bane of all in pvp and pve soon.

3444 bounty hunter on naritus then i realized one day..i must continue to the path of the samurai. not because a holo told me because i told me. i asked myself why i was putting up with these horrible nerfs and negligence. i took up my blade and havent looked back. i kept the trickshot tree because i'd like to have those insane defenses along with master heavy swordsman. i started 2 days ago im filling the novice box and i can tank multiple narglatches(5k-6k) with spin attack and a 1.9 speed 62-261 spd sliced curved.

I too had myself buffed, through on my 63% bracers and gloves and went to work on the fierce piket plains walkers solo. 8 hits they were gone and thats every 2 seconds about. its heaven.

never had this much fun in swg before.

Shhh! Don't go telling everyone that Swordsman is fun!

Otherwise SWG is gonna go from Pokémon to Ninja Scroll.

Congratulations JETHOST you have seen the light... While Im not quite master doctor yet... Swordsman/Doc is one of the finest PvE solo'ers there is,

As a side note, Dont be afriad to get a Power Hammer... for example.. at CL 22 or so you can solo 3 even maybe 4 Bols at a time... with or without Drugs/Buffs

A mind bleed with a Power Hammer can hit for up to 2k with mind hit one. Tag each Creature, Either go defencive or beserek and chop away. 3-4k xp akill.

Also remember the Damage multiplier you have against guns, a neat little trick is to whip out a pistol while rushing a NPC, that way the NPC thinks... Oh hes gona go Ranged I'll go ranged too, He pulls out a rifle/pistol and if your lucky he goes prone even with you rushing, Switch to power hammer and hit his head once for a mind bleed for 3-4k and then head shots for up to 8k damage (this is a red con at level 22). If anything can survive that I have yet to see it.
