jsut courios about what others use to detirmeine what weapon they prefer to use.

Max Damage definately. SAC is also really important. Just ignore DPS unless as a swordsman, you can stand to swing that slow, i know i cant, but im a doc, so i just peed buff myself.

Max damage.
Occasionally if my action is low and is regenning really slow (liek if a CM or jedi saps me) i'll pull out my NK-executer which has good speed/sac/dps so i can just use melee hit and wait for action regen.

If you are smart you will have 3 weapons of similar stats and use the 3 main pups on each one. 1 for speed (dps) 1 for dmg (when you have them where you want to finish them) and 1 for sac for spamming specials .

i like fast, my hammers modded speed is 1.12, onl 1020max.....su rei have a 1150 max damage one, but i use my speedy one to all its potential

Agree that damage is one of the most important stats ... second to SAC in my opinion

I have been going dps sadly because iHATE hammers and there are no real high damage swords. oddly my nk excutter and scythe blades have alot higher dps then my hammers :-(and only a little bit ( say 80 points ) under their max damage when i pup them or count in the acid damage from the scythe blades.

Max. damage without a doubt. Swordsmen are damage dealers first and foremost. It's nice to kill a PvP opponent in 3-4 hits (if I get a hold of 'em). Then concentrate on action.
