Hi all swordsman!

im a novice swordsman on Chimaere-European server nad im novice Svordsman, and to day i get my first new 2 handed weapon! AT LAST!!!!i was sickin tired of using my 2handed axe!

My 2H curved sword has a speed 2,7 (3,1 befor slicing, slicing only 14% )

Dmg : 33-200

Armor - Medium

Wounds - 15%

Rangde mod - 2 to all!

Is this a good weapon? i was frustrated when i slicd my weapon ONLY 14% speed

On my server (Corbantis), that sword would suck the sweat off a dead man's (you know what).

However, that's not to say that sword may possibly be the very best 2-h curved sword possible at the moment on your server. Almost everything about a weapon is dependent on material quality, IF you bought it from a master weaponsmith. Assuming you purchased that sword from a master, everything depends on the Shock Resistance rating of the Steel and the Polymer, and the Unit Toughness of either the Iron (if your WS used a sword core) or the Dolovite Iron (if he/she used an advanced sword core).

I don't have the stats with me at the moment (they're at home), but that swords sounds like it's somewhere in the 30-35% range, and as such I would guess that Dolovite Iron simply hasn't spawned on your server yet. I say this because the highest quality sword core (given a 90-50% result) will only allow you to build a 30-35% quality 2-h curved sword. There is a phenomenal difference in stat modifiers between the SC and the ASC.

Also, for the record, the best sword I have ever seen to date on Corbantis is the one I make:

Speed 2.5
Damage: 63-250
Range: +8/8/8

I forget the HAM costs...

However, I'm sure there may very well be better materials available on the other servers. My dolovite has an 870 UT, leaving an extra 130 points worth of improvement in the advanced sword core - I'd guess that's probably another .1 to .2 off the speed, and 10-15 more points of damage (again, don't have the stats, so I can't accurately extrapolate, but I'd say that's a fair estimate).

Best sword possible, unsliced? My guess would be:

Speed: 2.3
Damage 90-270

...or thereabouts, assuming perfect materials. And yes, I WILL make that sword someday.

With good ressources and a master weaponsmith, you can relatively easily get swords around 250 max damage and 2.5 speed.

My two handed curved sword is

61-301 dmg

2.5 spd sliced

Guess i got a really good deal looking at the other sword stats.

What I build:

2.5, 63-250, unsliced

What I use:

2.5, 84-332, sliced for damage (two of those)

1.6, 63-250, sliced for speed (two of those)

What I sell (leftovers), is everything that didn't get a 33% or better damage or speed slice.

Yeah, that's why I raised the point. When I originally bought my first 2-handed curved sword, the best Dolovite around was at 773, and I was quite lucky to be able to buy a sword with a 2.8 speed. When I then purchased a second account and ground to master weaponsmith, the materials I was able to get allowed me to build a sword to 2.6, 243 max damage. At the time, I thought that was special.

Now, the materials I have allow me to make the sword I just mentioned, but two months from now, this sword is going to suck the sweat... aw, you get the idea.

It's my best guess that either the original poster bought his sword from a non-master (doubtful) or that dolovite simply hasn't spawned yet on Chimaera (sp?). That's my guess; the stats strongly indicate a regular sword core, not an advanced, ergo... no dolovite yet.
