The new range modifiers only work on our specials i guess. I just tested this now and i can use my specials from 10m out while auto attack only works within 6m. Both of these tests were done while both me and my target were stationary.

BTW he was a TKA and he was hitting me from 10m out from what it said on his screen and mine, and neither of us were using lunges. However we would get out of range spam when we just had melee attack on.
