I have tried Center of Being several times and I can't see anything different than when I don't use it, except that each time I use it I lose 100 from each HAM bar. What is it suppose to be doing?

Have you tried reading the description of the move in the Skills or Command Browser?

It reads..

This command will cause your character to focus on avoiding combat blows. This will only apply when you are wielding a melee weapon.

Then you might want to try looking at the Center of Being Skill mods in the Swordsman skill tree.

The effectiveness of Center of Being depends on how high these mods are.

At Master Swordsman, CoB last about 30 - 40 seconds, during which your counterattack rate will be greatly increased.

You need to be looking at combat spam to see this effect though (as there are no counterattack floaties as far as I can tell).

it allows you to "avoild being hit in combat"

It increases your chances toevade attacks during a short duration (opponent will miss more and you will counterattack more).

It is NOT very noticable (and probably not worth the cost) at lower levels (eg. brawler tree, maybe novice ...), but it gets better and better as you climb up the defense skills. It is very, verypowerful when used by a master.

Its very good in combat, I dont do PVP without it.

I tested this last night on a couple of (weak) Desert Eopies... if I didn't use COB it would take two hits with MindHit3 to bring them down... when I would turn on COB it would take ONE HIT.

Explain that to me!

I'm sure COB saved me yesterday when I took on a rather toughnpc that pulled ared lightsaber...and I counterattacked the hits!No loot though (did they nerf loot or what?)
