Will someone on Kettemoor please show me or tell me how to beat a TKM?

Well, I'm not on Kettemoor, but...

This is PVP. That means you need to invest in the necessary equipment if you want to be good. Get a full suit of composite armor. If you can't afford really good stuff settle for some 80% special kinetic resist with lower base. Use buffs for PvP. Use Vasarian Brandy, Muon Gold and Vagernian Canape to reduce mind costs. Use Thakitillo food to take away the TKA best advantage, knockdown. Use intimidate when you fight a TKA.

With him Intimidated, plus your armor he should be able to do a max of about 50 damage to you. Since you're buffed you can lay on the ground taking this damage for pretty much a full minute without dying. Then you stand up and use head hit on him.

I gotcherback on this one send SLAINE a tell... ill charge you for the lessons though.

And double.. no quadroople.. if your a Reb... heck i may just kill you.

But im gonn give you a hint now... pick up a ranged weapon... and learn to kite.
If you dont know any ranged weapons youve got less options, BUT YOU HAVE LUNGE1 ... kite them with it: you can use this up to 20m away. STICK & MOVE AND KEEP A LEVEL HEAD. YOU NOT GOING TO WIN JUST SPAMIN HEADHITS OR HIT3. tactics tactics tactics. I hope you can heal...that helps... But preperation is 80% of PvP. Have Vasarian brandy, def vs knockdown food, Muon, STIMS, and burstrun on hand.

Just remember to have /deathblow macro'd with your aoe3 and hit3 and headhit3 (thatway they dont use Force of will and get right back up). AND ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS USE C.o.B. ...and always use C.o.B. ALWAYS. Did I mention using C.o.B.??? you should use that...always

the biggest weakness for most TKM is that they USUALLY only use 2 moves: KD/Dizzy & HIT3. The biggest weakness for them is the 6m attack range... we can take advantage of this with swords but its precarious and we have to really pay too much attention to staying 10m away...thats why i recomend using LUNGE. Most TKM totally forget about the very first move they get... if theyre a master brawler you may have a bit more of a problem. (they have some nasty goodies for you)

you fight stoopid you die stoopidly.

But other than that i recomend rounding out swordsman by dabbling in other classes...as we are were kinda weak (unless you mix n match)
I recomend TKA 4004..for meditation and defense.
and lotsa people say MASTER BRAWLER...or fencer... or carbines... or riffles...

Im almost finished with my character... hes ending up Master swordsman/riffleman TKA 4004 and novice medic ... prolly...

anyways send me a tell ingame and if i can ill helpya.... if your an imp that is.
in otherwords If your a reb... you better be able to pay for them lessons (in blood perhaps)

Get master brawler, open with lunge2 from 20m away. This will KD the TKM. Then use Warcry2, they can't do anything for 20 seconds plus they're lying on their back at this point. That gives you a 20 second window to lay down intimidate, stun, and any other modifier you see fit and then start beating down their mind.

Use dizzy/kd yourself. 2hH3 and AA3 will do dizzy, then use one of many posture change moves you have or lunge2. Because of this strategy, I had a TKM running away from me before, since I was the one doing dizzy/kd instead of him.

ok, guess i should have added more info there, i'm not looking to PvP forr faction points or kills or anything, mostly for dueling frieds and guildmates.

also, i'm looking to do this without using all the tricks and stuff like buffs and food/drink.

i'm looking for info for basic dueling, no enhancements, TKM vs. Master Swordsman/Master Brawler (which i am), using all the regular weapons, macros in the toolbar.

the point being mostly everyone i know are goin for TKA. I love the swordsman profession. and wanted to know what i'm doing wrong as far as what skills weapons i should be using. I haven't PvP'd alot before, even in other games.

like, i've been using the 2hand sword hoping that the speed will allow me to get the dizzy then kd in. or would the hammer give a better chance of doing this because of power rather than speed. i try to start off a duel with Center of Being, but usually after this is done, i'm dizzy/incapped by thier KD2, which a TKM told me is bugged and goes through all armor, or something like that.

i'm a very honest/fair person who doesn't use special macros, cheats or whatever (which yes, i understand spells doom for PvP, hehe)

so any honest constructive criticism would be helpful.
