WHAT about being a master heavy swordsman gives you the ability to solo a Krayt???

I saw a thread about it (this is like only my 2nd visit and post here)

But the thread that I read was nonsense babbling, like everyone already knew something I dont.

Consider this, I get to master heavy swordsman and I go out with a full (almost full, am a t-doshan) suit of 80% kinetic composite, full buffs all stats and all mind stats. I go with vasarian brandy and moun gold and also bring an armored and buffed master doctor to heal my states and damage.

Do I have everything, or is there more? Thanks.

Well, the fact you are a Trandoshan and can't wear a full set of armor, will most likely hurt you. Because when that Krayt hits an unprotected spot for full dmg, you will go down quickly, even between Warcry's.

Oh...on that note, I'm not sure a regular Master Swordsman could solo a fully grown Krayt with only Warcry1.

I'm a Master Brawler as well, and that 20 second warcry2 saves my bacon. Can't get it to stick? Damn, invest in some good Bio-Engineered clothes. I can both intimidate2 and warcry2 a Krayt easily.

This all being said, our ability to tank and especially SOLO high-end critters will be serverly messed up if and when this upcoming Warcry nerf comes in..what...tommorow?

I mean, not to de-rail the thread...but what is the point of warcry if it unsticks the minute somebody attacks the critter/npc in question? I would MAYBE understand if they changed it like they originally mentioned, and had it as a wide area-effect crowd control defence. Then next time I get swarmed by 4 nightsisters, I use warcry and three of them are frozen for 20 seconds while I focus on the 4th. But from what I've heard on testcenter...it's STILL the super thin cone effect, and it is even HARDER to get to stick. I just don't see the point in this.

The only reason I'd see for nerfing Warcry was for PvP. Most of the time when I duel, whether with another meleer or not, I suggest no Warcry. If they still want warcry, fine, but it's my 20 second one that always sticks that they **edit** about. If we agree on no warcry, there isn't any excuse. Plus, agreeing on no warcry seems to make ranged duelers much more brave, LOL! They seem to think that since they can't be warcryed, that they can just stand there fo me to come over and wack them. All in all, better for me.

But for PvP, Warcry is the only skill that really sets us apart as viable tanks. The only other players that might be able to tank effictively are uber-defence stacked. And since those are getting capped as well...

My opinion, they should have made Warcry PvE use only skill.

I'm trying to remember the last time I actually got /Taunt to work on a player....

Oh, and if you bring a Doctor friend along, it doesn't count as SOLOING.

LoL. I have never tried Taunt on a PC, but since its purpose is to redirect the focus of an NPC or Mob, that has to do with AI, and a PC's freewill would naturally interfere with that. Therefore, use the command:

/Waveshand

Then say, "That is not the target you are looking for."

Ooooh, man. That was good. I haven't laughed that hard in a long while. Glad to know some people still have a sense of humor on these angst-ridden boards.
