Considering this is the only melee move that can "break armour", does it really make any decent diffrence in combat? I use it and feel all it does is boost moral in that we all think it'l die quicker? but whats the difference if any?

As a Master Swords and 4-1-4-4 Pikeman, when I use Armor Break, I see a 200 - 300 increase in damage. I hit without it, between 800 - 1100 per hit, and with armor break, I average over 1k damage per hit.

I use it every time, and I never regret it.

Use it, IMHO it is worth it.

On a 82 rancor I hit for ~36% more damage with Armor break on it. Lasts for 30 seconds too.. it's a great skill

yes, Master Swords, so using the highest Armor break

Was the skill bugged in that thelower version is more effective? I guess.. that's what I read on this forum.Did it get fixed? I don't know. All I can say is this is the differenceI saw in the combat spam vs. a CL 82 rancor

I team with a Master Rifleman, and when I armor break creatures, both of our damage increases by about on third. We kill so much better when I use armor break, I would dare stop using it. I started using knock down instead, and my hunting partner insisted i go back to armor break. She was right. The damage is better.

Everytime I go Gurk hunting and a ranged guy pulls a Gurk in to the group and I hit it with AB it always dies REALLY fast. So much faster that I think it helps kill them too fast. I worry that others in the group won't have enough time to get an attack in for their xp. And if I get a critical strike in there just after the AB it's over right then.
