Impressive maximum damage but due to the low min damage it only has an average damage of 290 ish which is only 40 more then a well crafted cleaver and it is .9 slower then one. Offcourse it looks very cool but i doubt if it is much better specially if u consider the time and efford to get such a thing.

too bad mitigation blows the damage out of the water...but an excellent sword nonetheless

but not counting the +75 power up you used its not really a 540max dmg sword is it?

Although the max damage on it is high the rest of the stats just aren't too good.


Hopefully this new patch will change Rancor Teeth so that you don't need to find a 200 damage one to get something decent.


Congrats on your sword, but I would just use it as a display piece.

I'm proud to be the owner of this lovely sword.... never have I seen one this high and it's totally legit.


This beast was made with a 157 max dmgrancor tooth, with 1000SR metal... I believe it came out to 4.4 speed and 351max dmg. Then, I got a lovely dmg slice on it, powered it up.. and ZANG!

The quality of that build was NOT the best of the 4 rancor tooth swords I had made.. 2 x 125dmg, 2 x 157dmg. The best build came out to 3.8 speed and 365dmg which sliced sadly not as high, and instead sliced to this:

Wozers! Btw, the other two swords got dmg slices as well.

nice dmg...but i think i'll stick with my2-hand curved with 1.6 speed and 250 max dmg... don't use it as often as my 2.2speed 360max dmg one though...

Just wanna mention that, it does it's job great. I tested it out on a few creatures (w/o powerup for it's condition's sake) and it performed very nicely. Now, I know it's 4.4 speed, but, @ MHS I can do any move @ 1/second as I have +16 2h speed. And still, take the powerup off, it's still outrageous.


Yes the HAM costs are increased, that's what ya get with a rancor sword, but it doesn't matter when buffed and on food.


The wound has a nice increase, and the dmg is SLIGHTLY increased. I totally agree with you guys though, rancor teeth need to be adjusted more. Yes they're good as it is but they could be made much better.


And what about the powerhammer? How bout a powerup for that thang. Also again, I didn't make a cleaver as it's just not worth it. I couldn't sacrifice two of these into one sword. If I get more of this caliber, maybe I'll do it.. maybe

I have the same speed mods you do, and my logic on that is I can use my 700 damage power hammer...


or can use the Rancor Tooth enhanced sword, both at speed cap.. but sword does about 200 less maximum and 150 less minimum.


I would use the sword if they had high blast resistance and low kinetic, but pretty much the only thing in the game that that holds true for is Singing Mountain Clan from my experiences.

Where in this thread was there any mention of the powerhammer? This thread is about the 2H curved.


That's the point of this thread. I think everyone knows the powerhammer is better than this, but I personally like 2H curved.. they're fun to use--same goes with the cleaver.


What's the point of this sword? Well, I dunno bout you guys but I like owning guys who refuse to wear armor with my 2H curved. It's good fun in duels.
