Thread: How do you set up your toolbar?

I've seen all kinds of toolbar setups on Image Dump and I'm just curious how everyone has their toolbar set up and why they have it setup that way.

Mine is...

1: Two Hand Head Hit

2: Two Hand Hit 3

3: Two Hand Area Attack 3

4: Two Hand Lunge 2
5: Heal Damage

6: Mind Hit 1

7: Mind Hit 2

8: Center of Being

9: Dismount/Mount macro

10: Armor Equip macro

11: Follow

12: Peace

second row

1: Warcry 2

2: Intimidate 2
3: Two Hand Curved Sword

4: Power Hammer

5: Burst Run

6: Force of Will

7: Meditate
8: Power Boost

9: Muon Gold

10: Glazed Glucose

11: Fishak

12: Composite Helmet

I use this because for one it is easy to set up any kind of weapon with the same layout. My second panel is the exact same thing except isntead of swordsman specials it has polearm specials, makes it very very easy to alternate.

I rarely ever have to type any commands in. Some commands that I do miss and wish I had a few extra slots for are Equilibrium and Stand.

That's my setup and it works very well for me. How does yours look?

Comments, questions? Feel free to add or ask.

I dunno, change it around alot depending on what i'm doing.

also depends on what you've gotten used to.

Keep all my Swords/General stuff on [1] making sure I can easily one tap CoB, Stand, Bleeds, Lunge2, Headhit, Hit, Follow, Muon, Heal and easily switch between Axe/Hammer. Not in that order though.

And I keep all my Carbine stuff on [2].

All spices/foods that i dont need to quick-tap I keep on [3].

all other pewp like armour on the rest.

Since I have my toolbars setup for Rifles, 2H Swords, and my other Brawler class weapons, I have 4 toolbars setup for my various weapons (two for rifles, one for 2H, and one for 1H/Polearm/Unarmed). Thus, to detail what is on each toolbar key would be too much to explain here.

What I can say is that I have tried to keep as much consistency as possible. On all my toolbars F1 = Stand, F2 = Kneel, F3 = Prone, and F4 = Burst Run. (I have yet to need to sit in an emergency situation, so why have it on the toolbar. /Sit works just fine.) On Shift F1 - Shift F4, I have the weapons for that toolbar. F12 is always Peace. For Rifles, Shift F12 is Snipershot, for melee weapons it is a macro for warcry, intimidate, and COB.

The remaining keys are setup for the specials for that weapon class. But I still try to keep as much consistency as possible. For instance, Rifles and 2H weapons have mind bleeds and mind attacks. So Mindshot1 and Mindshot2 on the rifle toolbars are on the same keys as Mindhit1 and MindHit2on the 2H weapons toolbar. The same is true for Headshot3 and Headshot2 andHeadhit3 and Headhit2 on their respecive toolbars. (When they nerf stacking bleeds, there will be no need to have Mindshot1 and Mindhit1 on the toolbars, so something else will go there.) Strafeshot2 and AreaAttack3 are the respective classes highest damage area effect attacks, so they are on the same keys on their respective toolbars, and so on.

The miscellaneous melee weapons toolbar is less consistent, since there are different attacks from each. But I try to keep it consistent within itself.

Setting it up this way, means that when I am using my primary weapons (either a rifle or a 2H weapon), I have to think a lot less about what is where. Mindbleeds, mind pool attacks, and my big area effect attacks are all in the same place regardless of which weapon is equipped. So the only thing I have to be sure of is that I am on the right toolbar for the weapon I have equipped.

Since I have macros setup for each weapon to change to that weapon and change to the appropriate toolbar, normally I am always on the right toolbar or can be very quickly.

oh yeah....I forgot...

I use it like this because it works great for PvP and PvE. Unarmedlunge1 is great once you've already done the knockdown and your waiting for a timer.I'm still a Commando so I keep my flames on hand at all times However I'm not much of a Commando(0/0/4/0), so I keep my Sword techniques up top, where I can get easy access...another note: I'm a Zabrak, and keep my innate ability, Equilibrium, ready for when it's necessary....believe me, it's saved my ass more times that I can count...and the Fishkak for when the Equilibrium would be a waste and all I need is a quick refill
