Thread: I'm confused about the double bleed...

Can somone clear it up for me? If they are removing double bleed does that mean a creature can only be bled once at a time? Or does it mean that a person can only land one bleed attack on it?

I hunt a lot with ranged classes and no matter how fast I am their laser fires faster. IF there is only one bleed allowed / creature then they will bleed the action or health before I get a chance to smack it in the head.. Can somone clear this up for me?

Only one person can land any one bleed on any one pool. So you cant have more than one bleed on any HAM pool.

Multiple members of a group can have more than one bleed, per pool, so for example, I am hunting with a 2 riflemen. R1 lands a mind bleed, then R2 lands a mind bleed, then I land a mind bleed. We can all bleed the same pool but not more than once, per pool.

So, I could still land one bleed on each pool, but couldn't land any more, but members of my group could also land one bleed on each of the pools.

Clear as mud?

Well dont worry about not getting a bleed in because of ranged bleed attacks. Whats changing is this: one person can have one bleed per pool, and with the change comes the ability of multiples of the same bleed from other people to be applied.

For instance: 10 swordsman do mind hit 2, the target will now have 10 mind bleeds. But you can only apply one bleed to the mind pool.

What people have failed to mention is that until this upcoming patch goes live, you can currently stack your bleeds. So if you'vereached the 3rd tier of the (combat XP line), you now have Mind Bleed 1 and Mind Bleed 2. You can hit a creature or person with both of these, and they will each cause a bleed when their timer goes off. With the new publish, this will no longer be possible, and the latest bleed will overwrite the previous one. Make sure that you only use Bleed 2.

Does this apply to different combat types as well...for example I am rifle and swordsman, can I bleed mind with rifle and switch to hammer and bleed again or is it 1 per person??

Same question I asked, same reason I abandoned the rifleman path.

Its one bleed, per person, per stat pool.

So the same person cannot stack a rifle mind bleed with a swordsman mind bleed.

Taken from the notes on TC:

• DoT stacking has been changed so that each player attacking a target can only have one fire dot, one health bleed, one action bleed and one mind bleed.

So in a word, no.

I do believe you can override a DoT though, so in the rifleman example you could put on a mind bleed with a rifle and then once the mob came into melee range you could put a bleed on it with your PH that would take the place of the rifle applied one.

The Devs need to specify because people keep reading things into that statement that are not supportable by the wording. What you are reading into this would make sense if they said, "Each target attacked may have only one fire dot, one health bleed, one action bleed, and one mind bleed." No need to specify anything about "each player" because if only one DoT type sticks, it does not matter if they are put there by one or more players.

However, they did not say "each target attacked," they said "each player attacking" a target could apply one of each DoT type.

Therefore, unless the Devs come back and say that this was just poor wording, it seems pretty clear that the "stacking" has changed from one person being able to stack multiple bleeds on a pool to multiple people being able to stack one bleed per person on each pool.
