I have maxed my main character on Gorath server (commando/medic)and have alt on Corbantis I plan to play a bit more now that cross server tells is possible and i can keep in touch with my friends while playing an alt.

Anyway i was wondering what kind of armor a swordsman should have. or maybe a mix and match.

Also what is good stats for this kind of armor whatever it may be. i understand stats can vary between servers but i just want a general clue.

I am 0/1/0/0 swordsman, is it worth it to master brawler? I was with a pretty high level group the other night at tusken fort and getting my arse kicked by cominers. and i think it mostly had to do with the lack of armor.

also is there a certain sequence of skill boxes i should get? shoud i max one set first then do the rest, like with commando it was more obvious, max flame before anything else. i know this doesnt aply to the right side of the tree i will level those as soon as i can.

In pve a good suit of 70% Kinetic Ubese is your best friend. In pvp, its entirely your preferance. I myself wear a 57% composite suit.

Master brawler is definately worth doing. The Warcry2 and intimidate2 is priceless. Plus you get a knockdown as well.

I would go for the finesse line first for your speed and mind hits. I then went with defense so that you have better staying power. Some people like to go for offense for areaattack3, but spinattack2 from defense served me just as well.

Also, stat migration is a big factor too. I am a human and use a powerhammer. I have 1000 health, 600 action, and 800 mind (for being a medic). secondaries i threwalot into strength, otherwise my health burned waaaay to fast. If you use a curved though, you may want a bit more into action. /shrug.

Also, a support class to go along with swordsman is recomended. Most people take some creature handler or medic. I myself did the medic, and find it to be priceless.

"So I swoop upon the foe, and I will slay,
I will hew them into pieces, I will dash them into dust;
Like Baal in his strength, on their rearward, lo! I fell,
And I killed them, none escaped me, and I slew, and slew, and slew."

thanks alot. my support class is Squad leader... hehe i know i know it sucks. having played many other MMO's i know from experience that usualy proffessions that are completly useless get a big revamp that makes them desirable. but yea i think i might grab medic too. i use a cleaver, its slower than my curved sword but i feel i do alot more damage with it. it might just be the medium armor peircing quality.

i coudlnt find any ubese on corbantis that was above 20% and i went to alot of player malls and vendors. i ended up finding a new full set of 55% composite for only 100k which i thought was a good deal. ham is pretty steep though so i need to migrate alot of stats to wear it all. i am a twilek we dont get as much strenght and health as you humans do. but my quickness makes the action ham cost on the curved sword almost nothing.

As far as armor goes, I like 70% ubese but I mix and match. Considering you have your biceps open with ubese, I mix in composite biceps, chest and helm. Biceps I go with reg composite 50-60% unsliced and whatever after, but the helm and chest I get 80% layered composite and only use an encumberance slice with those. Not to mention this suit serves decently in pvp cuz its all about killing ones mind and you have the right helm on. Hope this helps. But in all reality a Master Swordsman should be wearing 60% kinetic Chitin but finding it is really hard. Chitin is just the right look for a swordsman. And yes chitin can be made that high 63% is the best Ive seen. But, armorsmiths just make composite and ubese to make their lives easier. Hard to gather resources for multiple types of armor.

Armor is for weenies I get buffed and go out and tear **edit** up. That way my ham costs are minimal. Plus hunting around in a doctors robe is always fun.

The best combo is either Master doc or Master brawler. Which one kinda depends on yourslef, and how you want to play.

I am not much of a crafter type of player. i tryed the system out and i really dont like it. so master doctor would be a bit of a problem this composite i have has such high encombrances that even with my secondaries maxed i cant put it all on. its kind of rediculus, i squeezed into it today with food and some spice, but i cant ever take it off. squad leader isnt as useless as i first thought. a level 1 skill, form up, is very usefull and fun for my squad i lead for getting rid of status problems.

if i ever find chitin at 60% i will buy it on the spot. no one makes the stuff really.

The type of armor needed for Fort Tuskens would primarily be 80% special protection in either or both kinetic and energy. Composite can generally provide that if you are buffed very well. With swordsman, its slow but the damage they inflict is very rewarding. You can pick off tuskens really well. War Masters and Torture Lords are no threat after a few head hit 3s. You do need some basic defenses and use center of being to save your arse from time to time. Medic is a nice helper in situations where you need to use a stim or 2. Mind bleed 1 and 2 is helpful because they are DoT, if you die you can respawn near fort tusken if a player cloning facility is available and come back to finish off the tuskens with 1 mind point. Armor is needed if you dont have a death wish...

Oh yeah, Master Brawler is a must have, you can get rid of tusken mobs faster when you use Warcry2 and lungehit2 for higher damage and kill them faster. Or just use spin attack and they will fall eventually. I have master brawler and I'd be lost without it...since Swordsman tree doesnt offer alot of variety abilities compared to tka...kd...dizzy...blind...bleh...
