#3 Is my choice....
With a speed slice and p-up it would bring it down quite a bit. The mods are decent....Also have you messed around with curved swords much? There range mods are alot better so you could focus on speed and max dmg and not worry about the range junk. Just an idea.

# 1 and 3
#1 - with dmg slice - for that nice bleed start, and #3 for rest of combat.
IMO, range modifer dont need to be that low, try to get it around -8 to -10, that should get a few more dmg out of it...
Master Swordsman get a very nice speed bonus, I dont worrie to much about the speed, can always fix that with powerup or speed slice.
I got a speed sliced and a dmg sliced powerhammer, one 5,4 speed they other 3,7 speed, and the difference in hit rate are only marginal.
Anybody know at what speed bonus you max out on a speed 5,4 hammer ?? - umm maybe I should test the 2, to see how much faster the 3,7 realy are..... if it is.....

The only problem with the curved swords is the damage type. Since 90% (guesstimate) of mobs use kinetic, most people have armor to deal with this damage type and to counter those nasty TKM's. I carry an assortment of PH's on my swordsman for PvP, one damaged sliced to use against ranged profs and one speed sliced andexperimented for accuracy for the Melee profs who most likely have Melee mitigation 3
and high melee defense.

#1 has 50% more DPS than #3.
For that reason I think it will be best for most players.
For players that have a lot of speed SEA's, #1 is still 25% more DPS.
It really depends on your miss rate. When I am fighting I rarely ever miss (part of my ranged mods are offset by +20 accuracy SEA's though) and so I would take #1 every time. Against certain targets #3 might come out numerically superior, but with defensive stacking presumably going and the potential to see a new speed formula without 1s caps, I think #1 is going to be a good long-term bet.

In PVP where both you and your target moves, I miss a lot more than I hit with my -30 PH. Even with my +37 axe, I miss a lot in these situations.
To clarify what Trean said, this is meant as an alternative to the "other weapons" to be used in PVP (i.e pvp blast damage which you can hit with, sometimes). In PvE, I don't see the need for higher accuracy to be as important (they tend to come walk up to you, and stay there).
As for speed - in PVP I'm guessing most serious swordsmen have speed SEA's - also a good speed slice and/or speed powerup will get it down nicely.
BTW, you (swordsmen in general) do use powerups right? I'd say one with 32% ideal range mod or point blank mod + 16% speed is the best for the average swordsman...

Alright so a friend of mine encouraged me to start selling weapons that would be geared toward usage in more PvP areas. That being said, he mainly meant melee weapons with decent damage but way better range modifications than the maxed out damage versions.
I come to you because well I need a good sampling of what you would buy. Or if you wouldn't buy at all. The items are listed #1 - #3. The #1 is the power hammer style I currently sell, and #2 and #3 are the power hammers with range considerations that I am looking to sell. I ask you which you would buy, and if you bought more than one which would you buy. Please if you would buy more than one, list which you would buy first.
Also, any information on why you would buy such and such first or not at all would definitely be helpful. Like pricing hehe.
Thanks in advance.

THIS MESSAGE HAS BEEN EDITED, I HAVE CHANGED NUMBER 2,3 BECAUSE I ACQUIRED NEW RESOURCES. Both 2 and 3 had worse range mods and less damage than the now listed 2 and 3. The question remains the same though.

Those range mods look pretty good, i would carry one to use in some situations. The problem is that at those speeds and damages you might as well use a curved sword on most things. Try something in the middle, half damage and half range maybe, -4 range mod is excellent, 6.9 speed really frightens me though.

In regards to speed, speed can be cured with SEAs. Alright thanks for the input I will check back again later in the day, I need ot get some sleep.
Also please specify which one you would buy, hehe, I am trying to choose which range Power Hammer will sell better.

I'm hopefully picking up a crate of hammers shortly that's about the same as #1 but with -5/-5/-5 range accuracy modifiers
I figure if I can get the attachments I need I can always change clothing to modify the stat I want changed, coupled with a decent slice and a powerup and I'm laughing.

my suggestion, 2 hand cleavers. -9 on the range mods with full exp on damage, they usually run 90-200ish depending on server resources and around 3.3 speed. in PvP a high min damage is important now since melee dmg mitigation. which cleavers have.
or we could just wait for the patch and get some scythes, i hope!!!!
