Thread: Some help for a fellow swordsman/ fencer.

First off let me say im a master swordsman and am proud to be so. I pvp quite alot and in fact have just been given commnad of squad in my guild. Sadly being a fencer who just recently went to swordsman because he wanted to try some more melee to draw upon., I m not as familar with the weapons as i should be. If you could help me with a couple small tidbits i would be most grateful.
First off what are the most accurate weapons. Sure the power hammers great but if i cant hit its not much use
Second whats the ham look like on some of the lower weapons. I know the the ham on curved , cleaver and power hammer what it like on the others.
Thirdly is their a specfic place i go to look for a dot weapon and if so where, I know fencera have tusken pikeman nightsisters is there a two hand equilvent.

Slytherin23 i agree with you in theory. It works great for pve.however pvp can be completely different.I want to be able to weild swordsman as well as i can use my fencer in pvp. This means a direct understanding of moves an weapons on a immediate basis.In pvp if you miss oneor two key shots its over. Right now with my power hammer i cant rely on it miss way to much to be greatly effective. also ideally i would like to get food as much as possible.Im working on a plan to make a power hammer useful in pvp but it wont work till after patch. Im not leaving that avenue out im just leaving it alone for now until i can get the results needed.

Yeah PH's are definatly the best weapon for a swordsman in PvP. The main reason for this is that it does blast damage, while the rest of swordsmans weapons do minimal damage, with kinetic damage. On Starsider i know that nearly everyone is running around with a full set of 80% kinetic resist composite, making a weapon that does a max of 300 kineticdamage, virtually useless in PvP.

Alright, I dont know if i will be much help. Im a master heavy swordsman as well and I almost always use my power hammer no matter what...If i miss, i just try again. If i use the lower level 2hand weapons, sure they will help me hit more often and the speed will be better and the ham will be lower generally...but the damage output is not as attractive as you may hope. I dont feel it is worth the effort to go after a low level 2hand weapon because of they lack of performance...therefore Power Hammer is usually the way to go and even more rewarding if you have it damage sliced of 30% or more and have handy 30% max damage powerups.
To me...a 7000 mind hit with a powerhammer is more tempting than a 2000 mind hit with a 2hand curved sword.
