Thread: Can Master Swordsman solo a Krayt Dragon ??

Well heard we could so headet out the other night.


Doctor buffed, Chef mind buff, 55-80% composite armor.


But **edit**, did he get me good - hehe - got some nice bleeds in, 5kish, got intimidate in, never got warcry to stick.


But my mind could not follow, I have 900 MIND, with 700 Willpower, and that ... umm Muron something wich is also MIND buff - but no Entertainer buffs.


Did they make Krayt Dragons to powerfull now ? - 350k **edit** thats alot


Btw - I am Master Heavy Swordsman, and Master Brawler


Can it be done ?

With kiting yes. Stack your mind bleeds then run like the dickens to let them work for a while. Then go in and mop up with Mind hit

Yes you can Solo a Giant Krayt as a Swordsman but you need to have master brawler. ( Intimidate 2 helps alot.)

They're a piece of cake They just take a while, and make sure you have enough food popped out! Fishak and Glucose are your friends. Do NOT take muon unless it's in desperation... during the downer you won't be able to spam specials. You'll just have to keep it intim'ed and keep warcrying, then when you're out of your downer, get back to the regular grind.


And yes, you deffinitely need Master Brawler.

You need Bioengineered clothing with bonuses to intimidate and warcry!!!!!!!!!! It also would help if you dabbled in Carbineer or Smuggler.

I soloed a post patch krayt right before i dropped swordsman. I was master swordsman/ master ch/ tka 4/0/0/0. I was fully buffed and used a combination of fishak, muon, and powerboost. I didnt warcry or intimidate once. However on Test center atm bleeds no longer stack. Im not sure if it will be possible to solo krayts anymore as a swordsman.

I would say it's impossible for a Swordsman to stand face to face with a Krayt Dragon for the entire fight. Juveniles are pretty easy, they can be killed with spamming head hit 3 but the others are quite different. The main reason why you can't solo one is that your mind just gets worn out. I use power boost, 2 charges of glucose, fishak and muon for a total of 3500 mind and while fighting Krayts my mind still gets worn out. That's why when I hunt them it's a guild event and we have a CM who can heal my mind.

I love soloing krayat, and yes kiting is the trick...I dont do it now since they are basically gods now.

I did as a master carbineer / master brawler / master swordsman. Problem is it takes forever.

Redstar, a guy in my guild, solo'ed a giant canyon krayt. He is a master doctor master swordsman and did it pretty darn fast to...not sure about the time but it wasn't to long at all.

He never warcryed, never intimidated, didn't use any tricks...just went out and kicked it's *edit*

It can be done standing toe to toe without any of the bio-e clothing, carbineer, or feign death, or any other trickery. You just have to get your mind out of the "spam my best attack" mode and use all the skills at your disposal. Doctor buffs are almost a must (I've not killed one yet completely unbuffed but I came within 30k of it, on a 350k mind ham dragon). I have discovered a new method which I want to try out unbuffed,I think I could do it. My template is sweet for pve but not the best out there, because I pvp alot and I need some ranged for pvp kiters.
