very possible. i can solo nightsisters on my wookie mswords with buffs, and they dont really do much damage

try this out (not my build): mswords/mbrawler/doc0340

mswords: does a ton of damage, not much in the galaxy has good resists to kinetic and blast

mbrawler: stack intimidate 1 and 2 to lower the damage of your target to a minimal amount and lower their to-hit

doc: heal state with good packs, heal yourself fora lot of damage if something goes wrong, field buff yourself when they wear off.

just my .02

Armor is mostly for high-end combat. I'm a TKM/Master Swords at the moment and handle about 90% of the mobs unarmored. Buffed to the gills, but no armor. The problem is that the high end mobs can one or two shot kill an unarmored person, but for anything under, say, 20k ham, there is still a tradeoff in armor vs. regen.

Also, note that entire first paragraph is null and void for humans. They can wear armor with no trade-off. But for other species, its almost better to not use armor most of the time.

Im going Master Carbineer / Master Swordsman / TKA 4/4/0/4

You get alot of Defence and good Offence w/ Ranged & Melee Mitigation +3 and whiping out a Carbine helps pervent Kiting

weird, I just noticed the post didn't show... anyway:

I hate armors. I remember the good times when wearing armor was a trade off (use less specials). Now with the overpowered armors and buffs everyone and their dog wear an armor (and yeah, me too).

So, here's the idea: making a melee character fightingwithout an armor. Is it even possible?

I'm aimingfor:CH 2-2-0-0 (currently master, Ijust can't drop it all)

Medic 0-0-3-0 (for thestims C, I guess I'll need them a lot)

Master swordman (for the dammage)

TKA 4-0-0-4 (meditation and defense lines)

or

Fencer 4-0-4-0 (first one is obvious, second would be for dodge, is it worth it?)

What do you think, would a TKA be more suited to no armor combat? I hope not, I already have 3 swordsman skills...

thank you all for your help. Now let's say I take the first option (M sword and tka) but somehow manage to free a few extra points. Would it be better to take the fencer defense line or to master brawler (takes nearly the same points)?

I would go with master brawler over more defenses from fencer. Intimidate 2, warcry 2 and lunge 2 are some very nice skills and will do more for you than a few extra melee defense. You may not want to go master tka unless you plan on using tka to deal damage. You can drop 1 or 2 lines (power and balance) from tka without losing much and then apply those points somewhere more useful.

Mastering TKA is redundant. Take the first and last lines only, master brawler and then put those extra points in fencer.

If you only score 2 points in a ball game but have outstanding Defence you will win cause the other team will score 0
