I have this real nice suit of armor. It will allow me to use 29 armor attachments. I figure I will use 15-20 of that on Two-Handed skills. What attachments should I get and how many? I figure Speed +5, Accuracy +10, but I have these Evasion and Counterattack attachments, both are for 2-Handed use only. What is the difference between them and should I use those? This suit of armor is for PvP purposes only.

In my experience the "Evasion" mods do nothing and must be left-overs from some beta skill or something. As a Swordsman you have no base evasion skill, and never once with +10 on my armor have I seen a "but you evade!" in combat spam. This is probably because if it works, a low amount like +10 has virtually no impact in combat. If I knew what I know now, I wouldn't have applied any evasion mods.

I have an undershirt with a +24 counterattack mod (and a +1 on my belt.) This works amazingly well and I counter so much its pretty sick. As a swordsman that is one of my main skills and its bolstered by the shirt making the skill very powerful.

Pvp action would benefit from as much accuracy as you can add since that helps you land your dizzy, kd, etc. You never know if you missed hitting that enemy by one point.

As a noob starting 2-handed swords, the damage mods I had seemed very useful. It allowed me to xp 2-handed even more quickly. (I had +6 2-handed damage total on my armor.) Whether these work well at Master level, or in pvp I can't really say. I'd imagine they won't hurt!

I suggest not putting any attachments into composite pieces. The attachments are too expensive to loose someday when the armor breaks. Instead put them in pieces that do not have condition, such as a Mabari belt, Ubese bandolier, or Ubese undershirt. I use an Ubese bandolier, Mabari belt, and a bio enhanced long sleeve undershirt for the warcy and intimidation bonues. The undershort also alows me to use clothing attachments in addition to armor attachments.

The only attachments that work for swordsman are:

2h speed (75 with master swordsman, can add 5 with master brawler, should be at speed cap with a 6 spd hammer with +94 total)

2h accuracy (125 with master heavy swordsman, can add 5 with master brawler, and up to 25 wtih attachments)

Counterattack (110 with master swordsman, can add another 15 with attachments) make a center of being macro to constantly be centered, really makes a difference with counterattack

the ideal setup is to have enough armor attachments to max out your speed / accuracy / counterattack using just aubese shirt, ubese bandolier, and mabari belt, because they don't decay. speed beyond 100 does nothing, and counterattack is capped at 125, but you can use a full +25 accuracy

two handed melee evasion is either broken or useless.I have+12 evasion and think I might have seen one evade over several months of gaming

Who say any of the evasion mods don't work.....it's possible that they don't, but at the same time it's possible that they do. Just because you don't see an "evade message" does not mean something didn't work......it could be that they work and the devs just screwed the text message up like they did with block.....or it could be that it actually doesn't work.....

Myself, I'm not too quick to jump to either conclussion until I get some solid proof from either the devs saying it doesn't work or until someone comes up with a very detailed test and results to show one way or the other......

It may be just like block, it works but doesn't have a combat message....it also could be the same a dodging an attack.....but I think that for everything in this game that doesn't give a text message or immediate feedback whether it worked or not....people believe that it doesn't work simply because the combat log didn't say anything.....this game is riddled with bugs and this is just another one way or the other.

I don't have enough of the evasion mods to even test it myself or else I would do some extensive test......
