melee defense doies not stack?

and tell me is melee defense good or is it not that good that u shouldnt spend a whole fencer tree only to get some melee defenses?

Fencer 4000 will give alot of ranged and melee defense, whichstill stacksup to +125 each

all defenses should still be stacking and useful to Swordsman except those specific to the weapon type, ie dodgeis a Fencer /Pistols defense, block belongs to Pikeman/ Rifles, counterattack works for Swordsman /Carbineer

The defenses will stack, but melee/ranged defense as well as dodge, counterattack, and block all cap out at 125. So a Pistoleer and Fencer will not have 180 dodge anymore, only 125. The other defenses like against Knockdown, Blind, Dizzy, Stun, etc they will stack and there is no cap on those.

hi

i heard that fencer defenses only work if you have a fencing weapon

i thought it works with any melee weapon still

so fencing 4000 in addition to swordsman is no option anymore?

Bad news, they do not stack. Defences only work for the type of wepon equiped. So if you have a two-handed wepon you get the defence bonus for two handed. Brawler defences do stack with any of the elite brawler defences, but two diferent elite brawler skillswill not stack.

are you sure? i was pretty certain that melee and ranged defence is generic and does stack it's things like dodge (a fencer and pistoleer skill) that don't count while using a two handed weapons
