last night i came into the posestion of 2 hack schematics and 7 white genotian power cubes, and sent my WS to work to make it for me

anyways i'll have it later today, but i found the stats on some of them around here and there, looking to be normal ones. i threw the stats into the almighty DPS calculator, and found that, yes, my 2-handed curved sword is still more effective than the average stats on this hack.

now i don't know if the hacks i were looking at were good or not, but they were all about the same, around a 2.4 attack speed and like 250 max damage.

even after the speed i would get at master brawler/ master swords the DPS was still lower than the curved sword, i think if the speed on the hack was around 2.0 it would start to make a noticable difference

anyways i read most of the executioner's hack thread and didn't get a clear answer to my issue, is this weapon worth it or did i just waste a bunch of money (100k is all)

First off, if you had used some base yellows and paste, you would've had better stats.

The hack is supposedly combat balanced and if they re-align all the weapons in game when the CU hits, then you'll probably see all weapons taking a hit. I.E. scythes will have the same stats a a hack.

Plus, the hack has its place. Its a good weapon for using in the DWB. I would rather use it than burn up condition on a scythe, considering that the scythe is in limited supply right now. There is a finite amount of schematics that can be resaonalby found, and the hack is a limitless schematic(as far as finding them.)

hacks are pretty cool.. like another poster said, they have some nice style to them.. it's not often you see people running around with the giant axe. Plus, they are super low ham for the mind (I think mine is only 18 or so) and they have that nifty red streak when you swing them.

mine is also around 298 dmg.. but it got a speed slice

I think they top out around 300ish, lower damage than a scythe, but also as stated above, much easier to find materials for.

Max damage will be based on the quality of cubes and paste that you use. Made one last night with a max damage of 296, and that was with ase yellows and paste. So it could come close to 400 unsliced with exceptional cubes and paste(50 max damage each.)

I have a hack that has 411 max damage, just a little bit below my scythe(440). But because of how much easier it is to get a hack schem then a scythe schem I got the hack for 1/2 the price...

actually i had one made with white cubes, not sure the paste it wasnt mine, and after a decent 26% speed slice, when i master swords it will do more DPS than the curved sword... not by much but every bit counts.

Hey all,

Will be talking up swordsman soon so just browsing the board

Noticed this thread and wondered, with the limited number of scythes about, and their high price tag, do any of you consider or use the 2h Cleaver at all?

I've worked out that a good dmg sliced one will be around 3.4spd and 146-305 dmg. This seems like close dmg stats to some of the Executioners Hacks I've seen out there, and would be even cheaper again, for those times you need kinetic dmg but don't wanna waste condition on the scythe.

Whats your thoughts guys?

Cheers,

Ackromus.

rather use a 2handed curved sword, in most cases its faster and does more dmg than a 2handed cleaver.

the cleaver however does tend to have lower HAM costs so thats the bonus right there.

White cubes? EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! What a waste!

White cubes are filler and nothing more. Even red or green cubes are better than white and they are easy to find. Yellow of course are preferrable but those get snatched up pretty fast. Check your local bazaar and you'll probably find some colored cubes there.
