When you check your 2 hand speed mod in the cont-s window and it says either +75/+96 or+80/+96. Or if you have the entire FS melee speed line, you can getaway with speed mods reading +75/+84 or +80/+84.
Given that +96 2 hand speed should cap you with most weapons that are 5.9 and faster.

There's a formula for it floating around on almost every combat profession board, but pretty much if you've got +95, you'll be speed capped with even the slowest of hammers.

+100 is the absolute cap but no weapons (current ones) will ever get that slow, so around +95 is about right.

Can you drop the melee speed FS tree after you've learned it?
For example, to speed cap you learn the melee speed tree, then youloot a +15 2h speed tape which puts you at the speed cap (with Mbrawler/Mswords) without the FS tree. Can you surrender that branch or are you stuck with it?
Thanks,

You can drop it but it only eats up 4 skill points.

its better to keep it because it supports all melee professions speed mods, so it helps if you use any of the other melee classes.
