Hi guys I have a couple of really noobish questions. I'm hoping not to offend anyone with my stupidity as for not finding them in sticky. They are pretty basic questions.

One is regarding total item count. I know you can have 60 total items in inventory. But i have one backpack that seems not to count the included items. Are there in-game containers or packs that you can place items in to not have them count against inventory? If so could someone suggest a few.

The second question is about professions. If I master say combat medic and then choose to sell it back to master another profession, do i lose all of my combat medic skills? I here people talk about mastering multiple combat arts, but if you lose all skills from a previously mastered set, what is the benefit of trading? Is there a benefit or just latteral movement of preferred skillset?

Should I master something say TKA, sell it back and master something else like Sword? what are then benefits beyond badges of trading master skills?

Thanks again for the input!

first question- if you wear the pack you can hold more items. wont work unless u wear it.

2nd- yes u lose all xp but the xp you have gained since you mastered.

3rd- yes theres benefits in the badges and its for getting closer to being "glowy" and master swordsman cuz its the best.

hmm, i'd like to help you clear up a couple things...

1. your backpack will hold 50 additional items if you have it equipped. there is no other piece of clothing/container that will add extra carrying capacity.

2. you only get the skills from the boxes you have spent skill points on. so if you master combat medic, you will have all the combat medic skills. if you "sell it back" (surrender the boxes to free up skillpoints), then you will no longer have those skills. you will also lose the XP - you will have to regrind the XP if you want to 'buy back' the skill boxes.

3. people master multiple (combat) professions to take advantage of multiple strengths, and minimize inherent weaknesses. Swordsman, for example, is fantastic on the offense side of things, but has next to no defense - so a lot of people like to master swordsman and also spend skillpoints on Fencer defense trees, pistoleer defense, or doctor. There is any number of combinations to choose from.

but remember, you only get the skills that you have currently spent skillpoints on! If you surrender the "Master Swordsman" box, you no longer have any of the skills that that box provides.

oh, and there is no award/reward, beyond badges, for grinding out professions and then trading them for other professions. There might be a requirement to master one or two elite professions in order to become Force Sensitive - check the Force Sensitive forums for the exact requirements. (they're stickies)

I hope that clears things up for you -
