Thread: Counterattack +15 to max at master or +25?

I've done a few searches, and everyone that came close to answering my specific question (see above) totally disagreed with each other, pretty much 50/50
At Master Swordsman, I have 110 counterattack.
Will +15 get me to the maximum cap at 125?
Or will +25 ( the most allowed to be added to amod/stat with attachments) cap me at 135?
I ask 'cause Ive got a nice belt with +15 counterattack, and a CA is being offered to me at the +10 range... see my problem?
I remember an old thread from a year ago... Documention, documentation, documentation... seems applicable here

There is asoft cap, for normal skills + attachments of 125, as you mentioned so, i dont see why you would get any improvement after 125 according to the offical ruling on the softcap.
Only think which could improve it further beyond 125 are food/drink/stat boosters stim (if/when they exist) in "+counterattack" form

np, once you cap and have a center macro running, you start to notice the difference

I believe you can cap your skills at 125 using Master swords and a little bit of Carbs. Then you can go too up too 150 with Mod tapes.
Basically works like Melee Defense correct, caps at 125, 150 with tapes and 175 with food. It does work btw cause my defense stacker who has like 175 in melee defense before any tapes or food caps at 125. When I take the Melee defense food too get me too 150 I notice a difference.

I do notice a diference just with the 125 (+15 from belt) would love if it could actually head to 150 tho...

the inherent defensive mods have a cap of 125, with a SEA +25 cap, and SL and food bonuses stack over that as well.

Dodge, Block, Counterattack, Melee Defense, and Ranged Defense are all capped at 125.
This cap counts for all skill mods and SEAs.
That means: a player can have +125 from skillmods or +100 from skillmods and+25 from SEAs, but any combination of skillmods and SEAs that cause one of those skills to go above 125 is treated as 125.
Only food, Squad Leader and Stronghold bonuses should apply on top of that.

Thanks again everyone. I do try to read all the stickies, and do a little forumsearch as well. Been away for six months and just wanted the current info...

The cap is 125... period. CA's and AA's will not raise this up. The only thing that can effectivly raise that cap is a Sqaud Leaders abilities, food, and the new stims. This was confirmed on the TKM forums by their corospondant.
