Thread: I handed swords for use in Master swordsman (im confused)

Lo all
I am now Master swords and working through fencer. My question is this. If I use a 1 handed sword will the modifiers from swordsmen work (if I use a swordman attack)or will it default to fencer dmg output. I am assuming that swordsman output is still higher than fencers.
Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times before but I was tka/fencer last year and decided to come back to a melee class.
I understand that most weapons can be used with another proffesions specials but wanted to be sure about this one

You can use any any melee special with any melee weapon. Each dmg special has a different modifier. Swordsman has some of the highest modifiers for any melee class. Your proficiency with a weapon is based upon your specific stats (1 handed speed etc..) in addition to any general melee modifiers you have.
for instance If you have a 1H speed of 65 and a general melee speed of 30 and you equip a 1h weapon you will get a speed of 95.
