Thread: Swords vs Fencing for MAX Damage output
Swordman should have highest damage (melee).
1. Special-modifier
2. High accuracy
3. Armorbreak
Sure, you can loot that high damage Fencer-Weapon somewhere on Kash anduse Armorbreak/Swordsman-moves with Fencer. But you cant get the accuracy. You might say that you can with food/SEAs but so can the swordsman.
If your only concurn is damage I would say: Go Swordsman.
And in my experience: the "damage-ladder" is:
1. Swords
2. Pike
3. Fencer
4. TK
over time a fencer, less SAC = more specials = more damage.
Pure bursts, well since you can mix specials now then swordsman specials are better. Critical hit and Power hit are both high damage then fencer specials.
Body hit is on par with head hit.
Fencer's get snare and a action regen debuff.
I personaly use Fencer with critical hit and armour break from swordsman.

My PH has SAC 73... with Food/Spice I dont have any action problems...
Even with my Executer down to sac of 63 I have action problems. Not sure what you are fighting.
Forgot to add that I only fight using speed buffs so that is probably the difference sorry.

well with a speed of 120 +40 combat speed from buffing myself I have serious action probelms. With my high damage weapon with a SAC of 95 I eat through my action in about 5 seconds. My SAC of 59 on my baton is better, lasts a minute or two. That's with action buffs, top foods and booster and using low SAC specials and melee hit at times.
Generaly I like the food and drink with long lasting times and slightly lower regen times but I do have the high end foods and drink when needed and generaly it doesn't help that much. Without the +40 combat speed I can spam all day sure but the damage output is drasticaly reduced.

With Swordsman/Doc and TKA 0010 I use not just 1 hammer but switch between 2 of them. I have a post cu crafted geno that is 1008dam and 82 sac and its sliced. I mostly use sac pups to get the action down to 60ish and this is what i use to mainly special with. I also have a precu respec'd hammer that is 1145 dam at 104 sac. I put a dam pu on this one and it hits around 1275ish with the pu. I use this weapon to mainly melee hit with. When my sac gets low I go into def mode and run my COB and flurry. Hit the infusion and go with the 1275 dam ph and just melee hit until my action gets back. Sometimes I special with this hammer to mainly kd or go for the kill (big blow) but most of my specials are done with the lower sac weapon.
Fencer seems to be a waste to me though. I would rather pick up the uberness with master doc than melee stack in the new combat system.
