Like i said, when you put a ADK on a Hammer, can you change your mind later and put it on your Scythe if you want to? I want to use mine, but don't want to waste it on something unUber.

If you waste it on something "unUber," as you refer to it - you can retrieve the kit by destroying the item in question. The kit redeeds.

so you would have to destroy the weapon completely and not just unequipt it?

Yes. It's their way of stopping you from having your cake and eating it too.
ADKs are almost like a "stealth powerup" that only is removed if the weapon/item/whatever that you linked it to is destroyed. Once you apply the ADK to an item the "deed" disappears.
