I just have a macro that loops COB every 25 - 30 seconds ,, that is about all i use,, Depends on the situation that im in.. AreaAttack3 is nice Mindhit3 . but you get hit by everything you touch when using Area so i would suggest not using macros you might die a little quicker..

Been away for a while. How do you loop the center of being every 25 or 30 seconds. I just macro it with my mind bleed right now but I know that is ineffiecient. I just like the animation of the mind hit.

Make a three line macro: 1st is cob, 2nd is pause 30,3nd is ui action toolbarSlotXX where you put the macro and enjoy.

Oh yeah, don't forget to /dump when your mind goes to crap or you're through with the fight.

My CoB macro is a little more…complex.

----- Start Macro COBLoop -----
/ui action clearCombatQueue;
/centerOfBeing;
/pause 30;
/macro COBLoop;
----- End Macro COBLoop -----

----- Start Macro COBOn -----
/alias ToggleCoB /macro COBOff;
/macro COBLoop
----- End Macro COBOn -----

----- Start Macro COBOff -----
/alias ToggleCoB /macro COBOn;
/dump
----- End Macro COBOff -----

----- Start Macro COB -----
/ToggleCoB
----- End Macro COB -----

After assigning all these macros, type "/alias ToggleCoB /macro COBOn" and then drag the COB macro to your toolbar. The first time you press it it will turn your CoB loop on, the second time you press it it'll turn the CoB loop off. I've got the same sort of toggle set up for my armor—makes life so much easier.

that is a great macro set up - saves me having a dump button on my toolbar.

And that is exactly the point—with as much as I have on my toolbar I can't afford an extra key for a dump macro…so I use toggles as often as I can. (The exception is follow, since a lot of the time I'll switch from one target to another without turning off follow on the first—so I keep follow and stopfollow as seperate keys)

An alias is kind of like a macro, except it is defined from the command-line, instead of in a UI box. So, what the macro does, is change the alias to point to the right macro to run—but you have to "prime" it for first-time use. After that it'll change itself automatically from within the macros.

hehe i've got the same thing for mounting my speederbike i mapped the macro to middle mouse button so i can jump on and off of it. I never thought of doing it to CoB thanks for the eye opener.

What is this really doing... I think ToggleCoB is messing me up on the thinking here. How is it ignoring the /macro COBOff and then going to the loop? Apparently /macro COBOff is not always executing right?

Ah…okay. It's not being told to execute /macro COBOff, it's being told "Make /ToggleCoB execute /macro COBOff" from now on. So next time /ToggleCoB is called it will run COBOff, which will tell it "Make /ToggleCoB execute /macro COBOn" from now on. So every time it executes one of the two, it changes the alias to execute the other—that's how you can assign it to one hotkey and have it switch off every time you press it.
