I just got Master sword defence and yeah I learned my lesson. I am no stronger than when I started at novice swordsman really. I know several people have reached master already and I was just wondering where and what you fought to get there. I personally hate going in groups because I end up tanking big creatures and even with my melee defence and novice doctor healing myself I get taken out rather quickly.So, right now I fight Cu pa's, Kaadu's, and Gualama's.... boy oh boy is that ever fun and exciting.I tried pets, that doesnt help.

the best way to go first is up technique it increases your speed GREATLY, i use a power hammer, 125-562 damage, 6.0 speed, and a 92-420 2.0 hammer, the 2.0 is 1.5 speed, and the 6.0 is 2.0 for me, im a Battlemaster (master 2h sword technique)

I have found that the offense line is ridiculously powerful with a fast sword. I can keep any number of enemies fighting me on the ground and not doing damage to me. Strap a combat medic or doctor to me and we were doing like 3 or 4 difficulty 35+ mobs at a time.
