Well I've completed the switch to all ranged and no melee to all melee and no ranged, and so far I'm loving it (though i think that may be in part due to the obscene ammount of damage being delt by two-handed curved swords right now, andi'd be lying if i said I wanted them to fix it) except that where I had a means to escape creatures that run super fast when I was a ranged user, I now only have the option to keel over and die.

The super-fast creature species are few and far in between, but when you do get aggro from one of them, you'd love to have more options available than death. Burstrun doesn't outrun those types of creatures, and posture down doesn't last nearly long enough to cover a 140m escape to clear aggro.

There was talk of putting a movement rate decrease for players wielding guns, and then it was suggested that melee types get an increase in movement instead, and that may or may not take care of this issue I have (asI'm sure many others doas well) where I cant escape certain death from spiced up felines who have permanent burstrun. Should brawlers get an ability that can allow for a getaway should the need arise?

Warning and threaten shots make no sense whatsoever to me: you shoot a warning or threaten shot at something, presumably NEXT to it and not on it, since you're trying to warn and threaten, not hit and damage, and it bolts off at warp 7 even though you potentially have shot it FOR REAL many times up to that point. With that same reasonning, it would be easy to fit some move or another into the brawler tree that has a similar effect, if not the same. Likea blade dance or a very insane-sounding series of shouts, complete with the frothing mouth. Or something.

Should the two very different types of damage-dealing classes get the same abilities in regards to escape? If not, how is it fair that ranged users have a ticket out of jail, so to speak, when the bantha poodoo hits the power converter, and melee'ers dont? And please, not that "dont bring a knife to a gunfight" argument, it is such bullocks and will hold no water when they realize they need to equalize the brawlers with the marksmen more than they intended to.

I have no problem with us NOT having those abilities.

They are marksmen.

We are swordsmen/brawlers.

Please let's not carry this "equalization" too far.

Baleine we just do more damage later (with other weapons even). That damage seems to be "as intended", not a bug. Polearm damage is certainly on-par with ours too, although slightly lower. So, anyway, I wouldn't worrytoo muchabout a nerf.
