Hey All,

I got a Master Swordsman Holo. This is the first Melee profession. So I'm kinda lost... Please bear with me..

My brother is a newMaster Weaponsmith, so he made me a few Power Hammers with 134-461dam
5.4 speed.

First. Is this any good ??
Second. What would you be willing to pay for it??

I had 1 sliced to: 178-613 dam 5.4 speed
the second to:134-461 dam 3.8 speed

Which on of these is better for leveling ? and also what would you be willling to pay for them ??

We have plenty of resources to make tons of these and are thinking about just making cases of them and slicing them before sale.

Would these be worth buying?

Those hammers are pretty nice. That damage sliced one will be great for bleeding opponents.

But Hammers in general are not good at all for levelling because of the low speed and crappy accuracy mods.

Best to use hammer when you reach Master Tech (for speed) and Master Finesse (for accuracy).

A 2hCurved is best for Novice levelling because of the high speed - Xp comes pretty fast.

That would be a pretty standard hammer on gorath

I say standard, as in "the stats you always see on a master weaponsmith item"

I agree with tox, the only thing is the range mod. the best hammers I have seen have the stats above and a range mod of -19 for all 3 distances.

-19 mods? **edit**! what server are you on?!?!?!?

The only thing I use hammers for these days, at Master Heavy Sword and Master brawler are for bleeds. The hammer will give you a better bleed starting out. Then switch to the 2h curved sword, during combat.

heh i have a -13 to all hammer on valcyn..about 465 4.0 after an average speed slice

that hammer on chilastra is the "average"hammer made by a master weaponsmith. The good ones on our server are 5.3 speed with up to 470 max dmg, however... the one i use right now is 5.4speed with 465 max dmg (not sure on min but its around the same as yours). I got it sliced up to 3.8 as well, just like you.

Pre-sliced you can charge allot i would say.. since poeople know they dont have to buy 10 to get a slice they like. Unsliced i would say 7-20k would be reasonable.

Most people i know sell them for 15-20k.. my guild mws though sells them for 10k to the public, and they are free to guildies.

I have not seen a hammer on Tarq under -31

When i can get ahold of the right resources im peaking at 468/5.3 hammers. The damage sliced ones in the 600+ range i usually sell for around 40k+. Speed slices are much less. Currently i use a 621/5.3 and a 468/3.5 on my char.
