my template will be b.e+c.h and one line from sword for errr fun

I would take thetechniques line. Otherwise you will be too slow to do any good. Its a personal choice though.The defense line gives you melee damage mitigation,but I dont have that line so I cant advise you on if its worth it or not.Hopefully a Master will be able to help you better.Just my two cents.

Swordman really isn't a good profession to take just one line out of. But yeah, if you had to I'd say techniques.

yup. those mind bleeds are incredible. as a master creature handler the most efficient way for you to kill stuff with only one line in swordsman is to buy finesse. it gives you accuracy and huge bleeds. set your creature tanking on something, run up, smack it with both bleeds (repeatedy smack until you get at least 3k bleed on mind3 and 2k bleed on mind2) then wait while your creature tanks until the bleed wears it down. (or spam headhit1s on it to pass the time)

if you want to kill big stuff with mean armour and resists, the bleed is your friend. if you're smart about your creature tanks you can take on really big stuff really easy.

btw I'm currently MCH and 0-4-0-4 in swordsman. so I don't have the other trees and can't tell you about their coolness. what I can tell you is I've done other combat professions, and always had MCH, and I can tell you for certian that with ANY combat profession the best way to go against big nasties is to get your bleeds. all the more since swordsman has some of the strongest bleeds in the game.

But Charvakas, you have tech already. You are right about the offencive power of finess, but be prepared to be VERY slow with the damage sliced PH I assume you are telling him to use for those bleeds, plus you don't have much def to stand around waiting to hit again. But even if you got tech, you will be VERY inaccurate with your PH. Sword is not like smuggler, where you can take one line and do really well in combat. In fact, nothing is like smuggler, and it is a hybrid class anyway. But, yeah I would go finess, bleeds and accuracy with your PH, which is what you need if you want to do the 3k and 2k mind bleeds. BUT! if you want to do one line in a melee class do the fencer footwork line, spped, bleeds, kd and posture change def. Not as strong as sword but still cool.
