Thread: Just got Master Swordsman, WEWT!

Im so happy, after spending around 18 hours at the Sennex Cave, i have finally done it.
I was a TKM 5 times, so i dropped it, i tried Pistoleer, almost master, dropped it, Carbineers, dropped it.
So i decided to try Swordsman, i love it. I can pwn mobs so fast, with Dizzy kd, ohh i love it.
Right now, im 3000 BH, Master Swordsman, and 0040 Medic.
Since im new to Swordsman, what sort of things should i get for Weapons:
What weapons should i use in normal PvP?
What weapons against Jedi's?
And, how should i set my toolbars up? If anyone who PvP's could care to tell me what they put in for each slot (F1, F2 etc).
And what stuff for PvE?

Hi there, welcome to Swordsman!
I'm not the greatest swordsman in the world, but here's how I do it -
PVE
Swordsman can own ANYTHING in this game PVE, with the possible exception of those SBD types on the corvette (always ran off so don't know). The strongest whack you have is 2hHeadHit3 - so if you are soloing use this at all times. If you are in a group you may find yourself saying "I'll tank, can everyone hit mind?" rather a lot ... kind of like a swordsman motto! Mostly for PvE I will use one of my power hammers - depending on whether I want to dish out more damage, or less damage more quickly (grinding hammer). I'll use the scythe for a change just because it looks cool. My toolbar is as follows for PvE:
2hHit3 / 2hHeadHit3 / 2hArea3 / 2hLunge1 ... Intimidate / Warcry / Peace / CoB Macro ... Speederbike (!) / Brandy / Empty / Empty
PvP
I suck at PvP, big time! But I keep trying anyway! Primarily I use the scythe for this, although I have a pretty good damage dealing hammer that works almost as well, I'm just waiting to get speed capped (+8 required grrrr) before using it in PvP. My PvP toolbar setup is identical to my PvE one, I just add a couple of extra things - in the empty slots at the end I keep some Thakatillo (anti knock down food for those damn TKs) and Blue Milk for a quick mind heal - I also keep a muon in the secondary F keys for emergencies (on both toolbars).
Incidentally, the Warcry is not the actual warcry, but a macro that looks like this:
/warcry;
/peace;
The reason for the peace is that if you don't put it in, then you will continue to whack the mob, and the warcry will be broken. Little tactic is to use warcry first and then try to slap an intimidate on the mob.
So hope that helps a little bit - as I said, not the greatest swordsman in the world, but I've mastered it twice and been doing it a little while now ... manage to keep my deaths down to ohhh .... maybe just 2 or 3 a day? hehe!

In PvP you really need to cap your speed so you can spam specials once per second.+95 is enough. A good Acklay hammer with high min damage or a good scythe is also needed.Also accuracy tapes help a lotif you use Acklays which have accuracy around -40- -36.
Don't waste scythes in PvE, use power hammers instead.
In thetoolbar you need Intimidate which you use first, Warcry, 2h Lunge to posture down kiters, Area3 to dizzy and hit crowds, Headhit3 to hit people, 2hHit3 to hit turrets, hmm...well that was the swordsman specials you need.
