Thread: To go swordman or not to???

Hey all I am new to the swordsman profesion so if I an incorrect on anything please tell me....I am atm feeling a little bored in swg. My current template is tkm/cm4404. I am soon to be getting an almost jedi account from a good friend. So my question is for a support char. would a swordsman be better then a tkm. I am atm making all my $$$ from high end loot and selling power(thankyou dev's for the solo nerf). I am going master doc for buffing my jedi but what should I do for the combat. I was in the geo caves today and a master swordsman was taking down mobs 25 times faster then I was. So to sum all my random talk -I want to support my jedi but still be making some money from selling loot(aka have some combat for fun). So would swordsman be worth the grind for the loot and play.
Also how long would it take me to grind to master?And do swordsman sux at pvp or do you have to stack them to work well?

Well it all depends.Swordsman has a great head hit for pvp. It is really good in pve.Depends how you stack and what weapon you have.

I know I will be going master doctor again. So could still be good in pvp but solo elders at the same time?

I cant be sure, but i prefer swordsman/doc to rifle/doc, but its a matter of your playstyle

Master Sword/Master Doc should be able to handleNS elders easily enough. I tried with 3044 Medic, no major problems until a few of her friends showed up...

Master Swordsman/Master Rifleman/4440 Medic is my template. Just started about midday yesterday and have killed 4 ns elders and soloed 1 so far....

How long would it take me to master though...I mean are we talking 2 weeks of spamming area attacks and hoping a djm on dant. does not agro me?

Try anywhere between 2 days to 5 days. Swordsman is one of the easiest grinds IMO.

Once you get a few boxes on quenkers or similaryou can just spam area attacks on rancor lairs and master in no time

Go for Techniques, Offense, Defense, and Finesse will gain itself. Its very easy took me 2 days to Master (I was remastering, I have a +4 tape and FS Melee Soeed + Master Brawler, with a speed sliced PH, good to go.)
