Thread: is it worth it to get range def

I am mainly PVE pvp very little but as a swords//doc i have little range defense is it worth it to dump money into range def tape?

Don't get a ranged defense tape. Get some branches of Fencer or TKA instead. Ranged defense does make a difference, but the ranged mitigation makes a bigger one. Both are good for PvP and PvE, I believe, since I think mitigation applies to PvE combat, too.

or you could always do the village quest for range defense.



True story im bringin the team back, even Roy Jones was forced to lean back
mastered: scout/ranger/squadleader/marksman/swordsman/brawler/fencer/tka/
current template: Master Swordsman/ Master Brawler/ Master Fencer/ 4-0-0-1 tka +12 fs melee speed. speed capped 2 hand goodness.

i got the village ranged defense. i figuire +20 to range defense for only 4 points is a good deal specially when i dont have to go up a ranged tree.

yeah im gonna look into the different trees i may go into a different brawler tree since im probably gonnabe dropping Doc with the CU,,, I kept doc so I could self buff because i like to solo a lot out in the field but if the ham will be 3000 and buffs at only 20% then im not keeping doc to self buff,,, anyway,,,, i gotta explore what i can do

Yeah in my oppinion it's definitely worth it. Just get the defense if you don't plan on having a ranged/melee hybrid character. Ranged mitigation only work while having a ranged weapon equipped so don't get it if you don't plan on ever using a gun.
