Solo kryats and NS Elders without the aid of attachments and special UBER weapons. What I mean is if I attain Mastery and have only the base abilities (no speed, accuracy tapes, etc...) and equipment (500max dam PH), is it possible.

For NS Elders, at least, I'd say yes, but it takes longer. When I was Master Swords (dropped for the FS grind, working back to it on my alt) I fought one, and took her HAM down by half before being killed by respawning Spellweavers. One-on-one, there's a fair chance I could have kept going ... and others have better heals than I did, or a KD attack from Lunge 2...

With master brawler and master swords it took me 40mins to kill an elder....so for sake of time, just run away.

yes you could but it would be very very difficult and would take you over an hour to do. i soloed an elder and a regular giant krayt after getting master swords and swore i never would try another until i got my melee speed up near cap.

I disagree... it's not difficult, just overly boring.

Hmm. I have a little input too.

Elders are extremely easy unless they have a stun baton.

The day I mastered Swordsman, I used a 620 max hammer and slaughtered one in 20 minutes, while it was using a scythe.

Now that I'm speedcapped, just for fun, I use my first Elder-killing hammer, and waste any Elder I come across, unless it has a stun baton, in around 7 minutes.

My template:

Master Swordsman

Master Brawler

Teras Kasi 4-4-0-4

FS Melee Speed, Melee Accuracy, Melee Defense, Ranged Defense

Medic 2-0-0-0

Fencer 0-2-0-0

Elders are a joke without stun batons, and Giant Krayts suck too.

Only reason Krayt Dragon Ancients are really lame to fight is because they take me 3 hours to solo.

Well to counter the elders with stun batons, use some nice effectiveness sliced stun armor. something like 30% stun 85% base or so will work great with a PSG ( this sucks for most people since they use belts for their 2H speed mods ). But if you have the composite and the psg their batons do even less damage then a one handed sword.

well with intim 1 i was having a bit of bad luck cause she was stacking bleeds and i was healing more than hitting. same with the giant...i spent more time trying to stim and stand than hitting.....might have been crap suit of armor i was wearing.

question on scythe....i thought elders were 100% resist to scythe damage? i didnt spend the credits yet to buy one cause i thought they were worthless against elders. are they that effective?

if you are not speedcapped i suggest your buy a run-of-the-mill speed sliced hammer instead of a damage sliced acklay.

the first time i soloed an elder i was not speedcapped and it did take awhile but it wasnt hard at all, just had to heal some bleeds a few times.

mind buffs arent necessary either. i took one down the other day without them and unless they stick an evil mind bleed on you you should be OK. getting all your mind stats maxed out by an ID is very helpful also

soloing elder is easy.

being speed capped is not a must but it is a time saver.

you will need some 40% stun 80%+ base armor. (i use ADK 40%stun 87% base armor)

have a stun PSG just in case you run into the stun bat elder's (i use a 60% ADK stun PSG)

make sure you have some 2400+ buffs

mind buffs are nice but not that important. just take 2 400+ brandy and 1 400+ arshia

600+ max hammer (easy to find for about 50k-100k)

keep her intimidated and use mind hit the whole time and use head hit 3.
