I'm not a owergamer of any kind. Was in cnet, had just gotten buffed and a fencer walks up to me and asks for a duel. After checking his bio, notice he's a stacker(brawler/tk/fencer are only masteries) I say sure, he calls no DoTs(noticed my novice pikes tag I guess). Fine with me, equip my 37% stun chest and helmet. Pop a thatkilo, 2 brandies, and a pixie. Equip my scythe( nothing special 126-333 1.7 speed) and start. Land three intimidate 2's pop a warcry 2 and start about half a combat que of area threes. Get a stick and land a lunge, he posture changes and falls over. Warcry is gone now, but he cant get up. Land a couple of of mind hits( mix of one and two) for the bleed and start hacking away at his mind with headhit 3. He gets up and pulls a equilibream (spelling?). Np I rinse and repeat, 2 minutes later I won without losing 200 from any stat. So I ask you, who says swordsman cant pvp?

swordsman can easly pvp, especialy if they have a nice hammer
I use my tkm to throw some stats onto them (blind, stun etc.) then use my 951 power hammer to beat the hell out of their mind

One of my best pvp temps was master pistols/master swordsman. They are both considered not very good at pvp but it works out really well. The defenses from pistols goes great with the swordsman offense. Every prof can pvp, it is players that can't.

Swordsman cannot pvp without good food usage, you get dizzy kd'd too easily and no combat equilibrium to stand yourself up. Thaki helps a swordsman greatly. I am talking pure swordsman not stacked template. Now the swordsman DPS is unmatched to the mind not even rifleman can deal the damage they do since the multipliers for mindhit3 and headshot3 have a .5x difference. But fighting a fencer does not show that swordsman is a great PvP profession. Fencers have AP0 for their best weapons thus making them useless. Against a 526 dmg stun baton, with my ADK 65% PSG and my ADK 40stun/90base armor, I get hit for roughly 20-50, I tank elders and I prefer stun batons over other weapons since they hit me for so little.
But I am not saying swordsman is not a great pvp profession IT is indeed, just need either great food usage ( aka thaki and protein wafers + armor ) or great support defenses to keep yourself up and blowing up his helmet.

Ya fencers are probably the most simple melee prof to beat. I saw that because their weapons don't have any AP, and they have very little dmg output. Also their toughness is quite low. So TKM's are always my toughest fight, and people with dots.

With good armor, psg, speed, capped, and a good hammer. A swordsman can own a fencer without using food, and without using intimidate. I saw it last night the swordsman was a guilie that was on TS, and he was completly unprepared to fight, but hey a guild war is a guild war after all.

Swordsman is great for PvP if you know what you're doing... stackers pose a problem with acklay hammers because of accuracy (hence why I'm going up the melee accuracy line, and grabbing 2h accuracy attatchments) but Scythe still hits them hard enough to take em out... ![]()

People say it contantly..
But the Scythe has almost all the characteristics of a great PvP weapon.. high min damage, high accuracy mods, fast attack delay, Medium armor piercing, Headhit3.. its only real downfall is Kinetic damage. Even through 80% kinetic armor its DPS is still quite good on average. It should come as no surprise that swordsmen hold their own in pvp.

Swordsman do the highest damage in pvp without DOTs from what i have seen.
If not head hit 3, Hit3 with a 1k max PH is murder unless you have special protection blast armor

having a nice hammer doesnt mean you can PvP well. melee mit hurts them a lot. even with scythes blind hurts the acc since we dont get a lot at master. if you eat snow cake that just makes less room for KD food or something else you might need. if you use another profession to land states then you're using 2 professions to PvP and not just swordsman. if i didnt have my exceptional 2 handed axe i wouldnt bother with PvP. sure hammers rock jedi but it's just them and people without any melee mit which is rare save the CMs. if someone sees you coming they'll int and stun you if they can reducing your damage by 65%, somehting we cant do holding a hammer or scythe. swordsman can PvP but it takes more than an uber hammer
